I play CW music in my cd as I go to sleep and it wakes me up in the morning. At 4AM  such a lovely way to wake up.

I've heard examples like "Braham's Lullaby" covered by Chloe Agnew and "Gartan Mother's Lullaby" by Orla Fallon.

Don't forget "Close Your Eyes" on Méav's first CD.

I bought a CD "Celtic Lullaby". It's for my grandson Thomas Patrick, but I have one too.

It is by various artists and the description says:

"A collection of traditional lullabies from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and beyond
to coax, cuddle and caress a child to sleep.
Ethereal and enduring, each of these cradle songs has a melody that delights and lingers within the listener".

It doesn't have any of CW on it, but it's a very soothing CD.

I love lullabies, I think my Mum must have sung lots of them to me as a child.

Lasairfhiona is a young lady from the Aran Islands with a wonderful soothing voice, she sings mostly in Irish.

Try her website and listen to the samples:

Cheesy When i first got OCCWd, I suggested to Meave that she and Chloe should make a whole CD of just lullaby songs..
such as "All the pretty little horses" "When at Night, I go to sleep, 14 Angels watch do keep" I was hoping their management would see it and pick up on it...it is certain to be a commercial success. The toura-loora song was on the
hit parade when I was a child...I still remember it...It ended with "It's an Irish Lullaby"...
I think some of Meav's selections sound like lullaby music such as "One I love, Two I love"..
Thanks, Kimberly, for thinking of this topic...maybe it will be a reality some day.
