I'm going to start up a repository for videos of Mairéad Carlin songs and discussion thereof.
These could include songs from her solo career, casual covers, songs from tours.
I'll leave it up to your discretion if tour videos should be placed here or within a topic underneath the appropriate tour.
Enjoy!

I'll get things started with some videos from her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/maireadcarlinofficial/videosFields of AthenryMairéad and Éabha posted it on Easter (March 27, 2016) in honor of the 1916 Easter Rising.https://www.facebook.com/maireadcarlinofficial/videos/1720441231503161/Here's her studio solo version of the song: From the "World in Union: Rugby World Cup, 2011 - The Official Album"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZaEmcFNbt4Side-note: There were some other songs that may be of interest on this album: - Ireland's Call ... The CT version of this is my favorite. I think this one's slightly different, but it does feature Paul Byrom (and Brian Kennedy)
- World In Union ... one of my favorite Hayley songs
- Pokarekare Ana
- God Defend New Zealand ... even more favorite Hayley song! ... just in case you're still wondering where the Rugby World Cup was in 2011
Lacus Somniorum (Mairéad Carlin, Hannah O'Reilly & Ellie Minney) This one reminded me a lot of Anúna.https://www.facebook.com/maireadcarlinofficial/videos/1742800589267225/Here's her informative description that accompanied the video: A song from the 'Imagined Oceans' concert I did for Karl Jenkins a few years ago at Blackheath Halls just before joining Celtic Woman Tour. Accompanying footage of Dun Laoighaire in Dublin <3 'Lacus Somniorum' is a plain located on the north eastern part of the moon - it is latin for 'Lake of Dreams'

She certainly is. Today's video will be Scarlet Ribbonshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA5WdKuWJJQIt's a really beautiful tune and I love both the piano accompaniment and the subtle orchestration. Unless I'm mistaken (and please correct me if I am), this was the first solo song she ever sang on tour when she joined Celtic Woman. She looks really pretty in this video too (well...she always does).

Cool, thanks Tiffany! Here's a video from back in 2012 (around the time of the UK release of the album). Daisyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUQt_paLNe8It's a cover of a Karine Polwart song and some of the lyrics really strike a chord when considered in the context of recent events.

I love Mairéad's cover of that song! Written by Vince Clarke. He was with Depeche Mode when he wrote it, but was part Yazoo when he recorded it. I had actually never heard the original version or any of its covers (as far as I recall) until Mairéad sang it.

Let the River Run (studio version, City Of Culture video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7BVln7rVS0This is might be my absolute favorite Mairéad Carlin song. She has a lot of very pretty songs, but in this one, she really gets to let loose and unveil the power in her voice. I love it soooo much! If you're like me and you enjoy Mairéad be amazing, here's the live version of "Let the River Run" from Sons and Daughters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzma4_Am3iwNote: For the Celtic Thunder fans out there, the song also features Damian McGinty.
