Máiréad is coming out with her own violin / fiddle line called Celtic Violins by Máiréad Nesbitt Celtic Violinist!

The line will apparently include both European and electric varieties.

I'm excited out of my mind and I don't even play violin.  I can't even imagine what a dream come true this must be for all you violin / fiddle players out there.

I used to play the piano (rather poorly, if I may say so): mediocre technical skill in spite of practicing hours a day for many years ... a musical failure matched only by my limited creativity.

Mairead's line of violins should be available starting in November (in time for the holidays)!

I do think it would be pretty funny though for me to attempt to play The Butterfly with a Butterfly, twirling my clumsy self about the room, kicking and toppling things over excitedly.
