Celtic Woman's Twitter page just mentioned that they're heading into the recording studio for something! Let the speculation begin!!!  Btw, my money's on a new Christmas album! Hoping, hoping, hoping! |

Last time they did a Xmas album was 6 years after the first one, so I think we can expect some new Xmas music around 2018... My hope is a completely new album *_*

Which is less likely, since they had one last year. I, too, suspect a Christmas album. The distance between two doesn't have to be identical, after all.  |

Yeah, I'm super-pumped for whatever they're working on.
So much exciting stuff happening! I think this may go down as the most eventful summer in Celtic Woman history.

The teaser photograph shows what appears to be a full orchestra, and they typically use a full orchestra for Christmas. Christmas tours typically have a "life" of about 3 years, and last year was year #3 for HFC. So, it would appear that they will be recording a new Christmas album, and (fingers crossed) this year's Symphony may have some new music.

Exactly my thoughts! The orchestra screams "Christmas" and they wouldn't make a brand new album one year after the last. Also, the new line up doesn't "have" a Christmas album yet - none of the girls have appeared on one, not count Mái N. Susan was on the HfC dvd, but that made her a kind of "filler" for Chloe.

Not quite true - Susan's "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" was ALL her. Oh, and not to start speculation, but the light fall schedule and the new endeavors of a certain fiddler make me wonder...

The song was her's, but there's always differences between cds and dvds. However, Susan did not appear on her own on a Christmas album yet, even though she was long in the line up when they made HfC. It would be all-new, so to speak.

How WoW, I wonder if someone checked our forum and read the Christmas ideas. I had fun for a 3rd album, though I doubt it would occur. I like that they incorporate the other members. They didn't do it with Alex and Lynn though. Lynn did Lullaby which is a great replacement. Alex has not yet done a Holiday album, she's amazing, why not have Alex guest on a future DVD or the album like they did with Meav or have Lynn. Although now with CaraNua, which I'm proud for them two it's ok now. I like all the CW and want all of them on the Christmas albums except Hayley and Deirdre. How certain are we it has to do with Christmas ! |
