--- SPOILERS AGAIN --- SPOILERS AGAIN --- SPOILERS AGAIN --- SPOILERS AGAIN ---

I kind of wish I could move my review(s) into a separate review thread, but sadly I cannot do that here.

After setting aside Amazing Grace and You Raise Me Up for nearly a full week, I finally listened to them again.

I maintain the fact that the originals were significantly better. But now that I'm over the shock, I do like these new arrangements a lot. They're a lot softer than the previous arrangements, but they actually sound really, really pretty!

I think after all is said and done, they're still my two least favourite songs on the album BUT:
- It's much closer than it was
- They're only still two of my least favourite on the album because everything else on the album was AMAZING!
- I'm not disappointed in these two songs like I was initially, although I have to point out that initial disappointment was very real and very intense.
- I like them much more than I did initially

I'm not at all surprised ...surprised that you agree same as I 10/10 even in more ways by your honest review fully emotioned here. These 2 songs couldn't top the many versions from before. For Amazing Grace its been the same with four to three member arrangements whereas O America only showcased on 2 tours or 1 has achieved a new version well heard & admired that ties & complcements.& joins the original.

Now that I've had a week and a half to listen to the album and reflect on it, I posted an updated review in the Voices of Angels board.

It includes the reviews for the 2 extra Target-exclusive songs that I hadn't reviewed yet and my revised take on Amazing Grace and YRMU, now that I've heard them a bunch of times and had time to think about them.

It's only a CD and not a DVD, for now at least, right?

Correct. Only a CD (for now).

No official plans to make a DVD as far as I know. Only rumors, wishes, and dreams... Cheesy

It would be so neat if they filmed the DVD while on tour like they did for the Emerald DVD!

This is interesting...

Both Mairead Carlin and Susan McFadden posted this week that they were in Herbert Place Studios recording something.

That was my initial thought when I saw Mairead was in the studio. With them both in the same studio in the same week, they could be recording something for Celtic Woman too.

Anto was in the same studio too today. Now I'm sure this is something Celtic Woman branded.
