Facebook notifications not triggering for specific people

I have a technical question about Facebook notifications.

In most cases, if someone likes one of my comments (whether I follow them or not), I get a notification which I can view by pressing on the little globe icon. That's the way I like it.

I found today that this process isn't working at all when a very important person likes my comments...the very important person being Chloë.

I happened to come across a few of my posts from a few days ago about her online show tomorrow as well as a certain show in Indiana I'm ridiculously excited about. I saw someone had liked those comments and was wondering who it was because I hadn't gotten any notification about it. Well turns out Chloë liked them.

So I checked my notification history in Facebook ... I see likes from other awesome people, like Kate Steinway, but I don't see Chloë's.

I'm not sure if she's the only one I don't see notifications for, but she's the only one I know of. I also don't know how long it's been happening.

I tried comparing the notification settings I have for Chloë to someone I do get like-notifications for. To me, the settings look the same. She's not been accidentally blocked anywhere I can tell. I can still see her posts fine in my feed, I just don't get a notification if she likes one of my comments.

I also seem to get notifications if other people like my comments on her posts.

I should also mention that I've tried in multiple browsers on multiple computers and on my mobile device's Facebook app. So it isn't some browser glitch. There's something not happening correctly on Facebook's side (or I'm just losing my mind...).

So my questions are:
- Is anyone else running into this?
- Any idea what setting could cause this or how to fix it?

Interesting.

So today, I finally noticed this issue happening on one of Chloë's posts for a different person liking one of my comments.

I can see the like if I go and view the comment, but it appears nowhere in my notification history and and I don't actually get a notification on the little globe icon in Facebook.

The comment was on one of Chloë's posts that used Facebook Mentions. I wonder if the issue is limited to comments on posts made using Facebook Notifications. So far, I haven't found anywhere where I might have turned off notifications for Facebook Mentions. It's not one of the apps hidden from my feed. I can turn on notifications for a particular post, but that basically sends me a notification for everyone else's comments on that post.

Ok, what's going on 

Now I just found some of my Facebook posts that Lisa Kelly liked and I never got any notifications for (not when they happened and not anywhere in my notification history).

What other awesome stuff am I missing 

... and who knows who else?

I know it's working for other pages / public profiles etc, so I'm really not sure what the difference is that's causing this to happen.

I guess I need to contact Facebook support, because this is not acceptable to be missing likes from both Chloë AND Lisa.

And in the meantime, I'll have to start manually checking every past post periodically if I'm interested to see if someone liked it or not.
