One CWazy Canadian! Chlovër for life!

« on: July 30, 2017, 03:24PM »

As you may know, Tara had a really rough time getting back to Ireland this weekend. 2 cancelled flights and nearly 30 hours later, Tara finally made it home safe, but her luggage was lost in transit.  Cry

I'm glad she got home safe, but I feel really bad for Tara.

Moments so sour should not befall people so sweet as her.

Has anyone here had any terrible travel troubles?

Not  me,  but  my  mom....  Back  in  the  mid  80s,  my  mom  was  part  of  an  archaeology  class  that  went  to  the  Holy  Land  for  a  dig.  It  was  something  that  she  had  to  complete  to satisfy  her  major.  It was  a  month long  class  , but  the last  week  was  dedicated  toward  recreation. Just as  she  had  completed  the  class part,  she  turned  her  ankle  and  broke  it  walking  down  a  gravel  road.  she  was  brought  to  a  local  hospital  in  Jerusalem  where  she  was  in  the  waiting  room  with  wounded  Israeli  soldiers.  It  was  chaotic  and  care  was  substandard  and  her  doctor  barely  spoke  English.  She  had  a  very  uncomfortable  trip  home  on  the  plane.  I know  this  is  a  bit  different, but  it  is  the  only  thing  I  could  think of.   Cool  I  do  remember  that  her  luggage  actually  arrived  to  the States  before  she  did  on  separate  planes  for  some  reason...  weird.  My  thoughts  go  out  to  our  sweet  Tara.   Smiley

Flying can be a pain in the rear end sometimes
