Today, Celtic Woman was in Westport / Croagh Patrick, shooting for "Songs of Praise."

"What exactly is BBC Songs of Praise?" you might ask. It's a weekly TV show that airs on Sundays on BBC One in the afternoon (the time appears to vary from week to week, but its running time is 35 minutes and it seems to air between 3-5 PM UTC most of the time). The show has a spiritual and musical focus.

No word yet on when Celtic Woman will appear on the program, but I'm sure they'll let us know.

What if I miss it?

According to the show's FAQ (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4kDydH7wTmgm9bM3fWwxR3R/frequently-asked-questions):

"Songs of Praise is not repeated on the BBC on any channel or format. If you are in the UK, however, you can watch each week's programme on the Songs of Praise homepage (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006ttc5)" (and on the BBC iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/). It seems it's the live stream and replays are only available for the UK region, so I'd suggest finding a number of reliable UK proxy sites that are compatible with BBC iPlayer.

I expect Celtic Woman will give us notice, but just in case, here's where Songs of Praise post what's coming up on the next show:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006ttc5/broadcasts/upcoming

How many songs will they perform? What will they be? Will they be the whole show one week or just a small segment? We don't have answers to those questions yet as far as I know.

I'll post more info when I have it.

I would really enjoy that! Sing Out is one of my favorites.

Now we know why Tara was so frustrated with all the travel delays back to Ireland: she had to rest up (and get over jetlag) in time for this music video.

It didn't take long for one question to be answered:

The dresses look great! Simple, yet captivating. They succeed in accentuating the beauty of the girls without overpowering their surroundings. I love how the gowns blow in the breeze.

It's a bit different to see a formal song like Amazing Grace performed in ceili dresses, but I have no complaints.

Speaking of Amazing Grace, it provides us information (whether that was the intention or not). Tara doesn't normally perform Amazing Grace. So that could mean a part was added for Tara OR it could mean they did more than one music video for Songs of Praise.  Wink

If they did perform two songs, I'd imagine the second one would be you raise me up.

Eabha mentioned in her Instagram story that the Songs of Praise video shoot was in preparation for the CW 3Arena show (which is apparently selling well).

So I suspect we'll see the Songs of Praise videos within the next couple of weeks.

Apparently the Songs of Praise special featuring Celtic Woman aired this morning.

I thought it would have made more sense to air it before the 3Arena show...

Here's the link, but you have to appear to be in the UK to watch it, so if you're outside the UK, you have to use a UK proxy:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b094l1qt/songs-of-praise-croagh-patrick

... AND you now have to sign in to use BBC iPlayer.

So looks like most of us will have to wait until either Celtic Woman posts it or someone else does. Going forward, I'm not going to bother trying to view things directly on BBC iPlayer, because it's not reasonably feasible.

Anyways, here's a link to the clip that was posted on Twitter yesterday. This one you can view, but I recommend viewing it soon in case it gets taken down.
