4 years ago yesterday (August 7) in 2013, the Home for Christmas DVD was recorded at the Helix in Dublin.

For me, it's a tough call between Home for Christmas and A Christmas Celebration as my favourite Christmas concert. ACC was more of a more mellow and ethereal experience, with sublime harmony. HfC was powerful and energetic.

I think ACC was perhaps the best and it gets the tears flowing.

Yet I think I enjoy HfC even more because it gets the blood pumping and it gets me really excited, even when I'm feeling down.

Happy anniversary Home for Christmas!

Agreed  with most  points  Tom.  There  are,  however, some  tear  jerking  moments  with  HFC-  namely  Meav's  2  solos  and  ACC  does  provide  a heart pumping  episode  or  2  like  "O  Come  All  Ye  Faithful   "   and  "Let  It  Snow"    Grin

Happy Anniversary Home For Christmas!***

I remember ecstatic for everything, I was ready the CD at my favorite store Sam Goody which came with 2 Christmas Cards.
To the special. I even youtubed it on vacation at my resort hotel in January on a huge spectacular flat screen in the main lobby how glorious! Had to film a bit. I was stoned on all songs esp we three kings! Grin

Definitely exciting to watch Meav shine the songs in real with Lisa L oh my!  Grin.  ACC was surprising for me since it was the 1st probably only CW DVD I ever purchased without knowing anything about it whereas for others I've seen the show, previews, trailers etc. It made me cry how beyond beautiful! They stole Christmas much more than their original show to me!****

Caranua makes me happy for the asking about Christmas songs which I think another Christmas show using Lynn, Alex, Eabha, Mairead would complete!

I have to agree with your points Tom, but I'm a little biased towards act because  "o come all ye faithful" was how I discovered Celtic woman  almost 10 years ago. Doesn't the acc anniversary also mean that Mairead Carlon's 4 year anniversary with the group is coming up in the next few days?
