Highlights:- Lisa and Chloë have been watching videos of Tiffany singing and they loved it!
- Lisa says she's doing a show in the Spring of 2018. It may not be at the Fred (management issues at the venue), but she says she's doing a show.
Most Annoying Questions:Who won the couch?- If you didn't watch the video yet, you're probably wondering what the heck that means...
- The chat on Lisa's feed wasn't working for her, so they were just reading off Chloë's chat feed
- But for some reason, a couch auction live feed got routed into Chloë's video and chat stream
- So a large number of people started talking about a couch auction
- I suspect they were really there for a couch auction. If that was all a prank, there were a lot of people in on it or that just rolled with it and it wasn't funny at all
Are you ever coming back to Celtic Woman? / Are you ever touring with Celtic Woman again? / Are you still with Celtic Woman? / Are you going to be in a Celtic Woman reunion- Ok. I get that no everyone follows them diligently.
- I was in that boat for a while, and the Water Was Wide so to speak.
- But seriously, you've been a die-hard fan for the last 13 and a half years but you still think Lisa Kelly or Hayley are with the group?
- I think those people commenting really believed that the group they saw perform at Slane Castle is still the same group now ... frozen in time for the past 11.5 years, apparently.
"You should come back to Celtic Woman." "It's not the same." "The group now can't hold a candle to you."- Ok, that's not a question, but it has quickly become the most annoying set of thing I have ever heard.
- This has been addressed on other threads already.
- But I mention it again because
Lisa addressed it this time.
- Usually, Lisa and Chloë just thank whoever said it and won't touch the other side of it (the current group) with a metaphorical 10 foot pole.
- This time, Lisa said a few very important things (I'm paraphrasing):
* Ok, we appreciate you saying that and we're flattered.
* But Celtic Woman wasn't supposed to stay the same for ever.
* Many fans who LOVE the group now aren't the same fans who loved it back then.
* The group now and the girls in it are amazing too.
- I started tearing up at that point. I love Current Celtic Woman sooooo much and to finally hear one of the Classic Celtic Woman girls come right out and defend the current girls meant the world to me.
Other Items of Interest:Lisa and Chloë gave some advice for stage fright:
- They say it's something you may never fully get over.
- But that's ok ... you always need a little edge or the performance doesn't mean anything to you.
- Just remember it's not about being perfect. It's about entertaining.
- Then, Lisa made a really interesting comment: "you're not going not saving people's lives or anything" ... uh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. You never know ... I didn't say anything because more often than not, it's great advice, even if it's not always true.
Overall- Lisa and Chloë had a good time
- It was fun, although I have to say, listening to questions about whether or not they're in Celtic Woman or ever coming back, as well as infuriating comments about Current Celtic Woman, pretty much overwhelmed my sense of joy this time around.
- That's just my own view. Please don't let it discourage you from watching these in the future. They really are fun, especially together.
