10th Anniversary DVD

An Isle of Hope show would have been great, but I think if anything, the extra wait made Songs from the Heart even more special.

I can't really argue with the sequence of A New Journey, The Greatest Journey (the best 'journey so far' DVD I have ever seen), and Songs from the Heart.

I really liked Emerald. I though it had the most energy of all the Celtic Woman DVDs and it was their last chance to do a DVD with Chloë (although they probably didn't know at the time since I think it was recorded pretty early in the tour). Oh my goodness, was Chloë ever spectacular in Emerald ... and soooo beautiful!!!

But if the choice was between Emerald and a proper 10th Anniversary DVD, I would have preferred a 10th Anniversary DVD:
- A concert with the 10th Anniversary Tour cast
- ALL the rotating members in that tour)
- A 10 year journey documentary with ALL the members of Celtic Woman up to that point
- Some highlights of their amazing DVDs and tours along the way
- 2-3 disc set! Woohoo!!!

A live "Grand Reunion" performance would have been unrealistic. But I think doing at least an interview with each of the principal performers (and some choir members) about their time in the group might have been feasible. At worst, they could have spliced in some footage from some of the former girls. They certainly would have had a lot of footage to work with.

I think they definitely missed an opportunity in not doing a proper Decade DVD. It could have been a critical bridge for the fan base as they transitioned to a post-Chlisa and post-David-Downes Celtic Woman. One counterargument for a Decade DVD though is it might have provided a sense of closure for the long-time fan base. Instead they kind of drifted into Destiny with a large portion of the fan base wondering about the future of the group instead of a fan base with closure, completely satisfied with what they already had to that point.

They could still do one for the 15th Anniversary. It would be kind of appropriate, if you think about it, to release a 15th Anniversary DVD on Sept 15, 2019, 15 years after the very first show on Sept 15, 2004. But I'm afraid it might be too late by then. The fan base has definitely changed since the 10th Anniversary Tour and it wouldn't have the same impact as it would have a few years ago.
