I thought it was very interesting, too. I just might have to invest in one of these dresses someday.

These dresses look lovely, but... they don't feel right. They are not as unique and characteristically Celtic Woman as Synan's dresses were.

Really sad to see the end of Synan designs for Celtic Woman. I remember in an interview for the 10th anniversary tour he said it was hard to pick colors that have not been done before with Celtic Woman. He is listed in VOA tour Souvenir Program for Dress Design, o I guess either he parted ways or couldn't do it this tour.

Maybe this is why they have more new dresses this tour than any. Synan dresses were made for touring and these may not be. These are for one night events or award shows but not for over 100 nights of shows and wear and tear.

So this is his 1st year not with CW... the end of a wonderful era.

Very lovely finding's! Even the Dresses Susan brought Back I thought she'd bring something unique but look's by this it's like just using the designer line. For it being as a Homecoming I thought was why we'd see this particular style of new dress wearing for once with it being just a live indoor taping show much like Emerald. On tour the First & Second Act Dresses from the DVD including the green one Alex wore look great like CW Dresses. It isn't until when we get to the dresses Susan brought back on her return that not saying they aren't elegant, but the over flowery and Asian like print isn't what I'm use too. I thought the beginning orginal Homecoming 2nd Act Dresses including Alex's Phenomenal Red One suited well for Time to Say Goodbye. I may enjoyed better them on some songs like My Heart Will Go On. I'm all into 2nd Act Dresses being Grander which was why Emerald was interesting to seeing the color 2nd Act when with Isle of Hope the flag colors were 1st Act.. I Loved The VOA dresses, I love more when the girls all have similar color in different tones or similar dresses in different color shades and embroidery...That's what makes the members together a CW, unique but different at the same time!...

I`ve seen them 8 times in person and couldn`t begin to tell you what the gowns look like.....apparently that`s what`s known as "being a guy".

Or maybe, because they are not memorable enough. They look very good, and I generally like Marchesa designs, but they are still fairly generic and not at all Celtic Woman style.

I agree with these comments. I think Marchesa dresses are stunning (especially Susan's silky red one and Tara's sparkly gold one ), but nothing will ever beat Synan's creations!

The new dresses look great!
I especially like Tara's yellow-sparkle dress and Eabha's new blue act 2 dress, and Susan's light blue dress and red dresses.
Mairead's new act 2 tour dress looks great, but I will say that it looked a bit out of place for me in relation to the others, kind of like Tara's flower-pattern dress did in the Homecoming special / DVD.
I don't think the dresses go quite as well together as Synan's assortments, but that shouldn't be surprising, since they were never designed to be worn as an ensemble on stage.
I'm sure they have a good reason for this change and I respect whatever that is.
From my perspective, the dresses do still look really pretty but the most important part, now and always, are the lovely ladies wearing them.
I don't really want to spread the word around too much outside of our community here and I suspect Celtic Woman doesn't either. I'd be afraid of stirring up more of the "it's not the same" nonsense that's been going around. Change is part of Celtic Woman's M.O. and these new dresses are just another different thing for us to love and appreciate as fans.

I absolutely agree. It's not the same, but it can't be the same. And if it were, people would be complaining about that. I personally prefer the highly individual style of Synan's early designs. But maybe, that fits the earlier CW better - just like David Downes's arrangements. Synan's more recent designs were already fairly conventional, though still lovely, and I didn't even notice that these dresses were not his. It all has its own time.
