He plays several instruments and piano is an excellent plance to start
I think, though please correct me if I am wrong, that he said in the helix interview that his mother was a concert pianist.
However he got into music and composition, he is definatly brilliant

I'm going to assume so....
piano takes alot of muscle memory and built coordination....so I'm assuming he started at a younger age.....

Actually, I didn't see him playing at Red Rocks, but the man playing for him did a great job. I think David may have been back in Ireland getting the Christmas concert ready and working on the next tour.
