The new Celtic Woman Forum (celticwomanforum .net) has been up for a while now and it's being actively administered: http://www.celticwomanforum.netIt has new boards (up to and including Megan Walsh and Ancient Land) a new banner with all the Celtic Woman members, past and present (including Megan) and most importantly, it's being administered and updated actively. So if you register there an account there, it won't sit in a black hole indefinitely. All the accounts that registered for the new forum recently have been approved and created. It seems like it's sending out confirmation emails successfully when a registration is submitted, but maybe not when an account is approved. We'll look into that, but for now, just try to log in because your account has been approved even if you didn't get a second email. If it's giving you any issues logging in, please reach out to me or GlenS and we'll get you taken care of. Thanks and enjoy!

I have joined a while ago, and while I really love this forum, I am glad we have the new one.
Does anybody else care to join it?

I think a limited Fun ` n Games thread is just what is needed to light a fire under the new forum.

I like the idea of a fun and games.
I think certainly Celtic Woman related games would be great. There are some really fun one on this forum.
Personally, I also enjoy the ones where you get to share bits of yourself with other fans, like "what's your favorite" type threads, even if they're not CW related. Those are constructive and they can help people discover other things outside of Celtic Woman that they never knew they might like.
But at at the end of the day, these forums exist to celebrate Celtic Woman and I feel like this old forum just degenerated over time into a text-based gaming platform (with a bit of Celtic Woman stuff here and there).
The trick is preventing a gaming board from getting out of control like this forum, but doing so without stifling creativity.
Any ideas?

I think the admins should restrict the size of Fun `n Games to whatever is manageable,it should be more or less CW related other than The Infamous Random Thread. Maybe get other suggestions before a final decision.

I'll still use this forum for now, although I might switch to the other one at some point in time, especially if they are more up to date on certain news about the group than here.

My friend Tracie and I have been feverishly building up a calendar of upcoming Celtic Woman concerts (announced and unannounced) and concerts of former leading CW performers and choir members. That includes shows for Celtic Woman's 2020 US tour. Come check it out: http://www.celticwomanforum.net/index.php?action=calendar
