I think "No Good Deed" would have to be on mine, because it's my life anthem from time to time. "Let Me Carry You" and "Goodbye to Love" and "Rent" (since I've started paying rent that song means so much more) would also probably be included. Interesting idea Anderpaw.

Or maybe "The Prayer",it reminds me of grandma who passed away last year watching over me and my family.

Hm...maybe 'Up on the Roof', 'cause I feel like I have to get away from things quite frequently.

Well I think that for me there would be a lot but I think that these would work:

Don't Blink- Kenny Chesney
Home- Chris Daughtry
My Wish- Rascal Flatts
Don't Forget To Remember Me- Carrie Underwood
Only what You Make Of It- Little Big Town

Some of these songs remind me of my teachers. If it wasnt for 2 special teacher's then I  dont think I would be the person I'm today

What a great question!! I actually already have the song in mind that I'd choose (with lyrics for everyone!). My choice of song is "Here & Now" & it's sung by Great Big Sea. It's a great song about living for the moment, here are the lyrics & link to hear a snippet!

HERE AND NOW

The sun must set to rise
The light will leave your eyes again
Then breaking like morning's dawn
Does summer feel the winter come

The hardest part of life
Is to live while you’re alive my friend
So sing an unwritten song
Or repent for the deeds you left undone

This is Here
This is Now
It’s the moment that we live for
And we just can’t live without
It’s all clear to me now
We’ve already started dying
And our time is running out
Oh, Right Now

Time is ours to steal
She’s a secret to reveal my friend
And when your children have all grown
You’ll wait by the window
And wish them all back home

This is Here
This is Now
It’s the moment that we live for
And we just can’t live without
It’s all clear to me now
We’ve already started dying
And our time is running out
Oh, Right Now

Walk a little further off the beaten path
And we’ll drive on even if we get there last
Our backs against the wall
And we will lunge and bite
And we’ll rage, rage, rage
against the dying of the light

This is Here
This is Now
It’s the moment that we live for
And we just can’t live without
It’s all clear to me now
We’ve already started dying
And our time is running out
Oh, Right Now

Through Heaven's Eyes from the Prince of Egypt (a close second is When You Believe from the movie) it's one of the most inspirational and beautiful songs ever. I'm an unsure and critical person.. and this song reminds of the fact that everyone is special, and that it isn't up to you to judge your own value.

Through Heaven's Eyes:

A single thread in a tapestry
Through its color brightly shine
Can never see it's purpose
In the pattern of the grand design

And the stone that sits on the very top
Of the mountain's mighty face
Does it think it's more important
Than the stones that form the base?

So how can you see what your life is worth?
Or where your value lies?
You can never see through the eyes of man
You must look at your life
Look at your life through heaven's eyes

(chorus)

A lake of gold in the desert sand
Is less than a cool fresh spring
And to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy
Is greater than the richest king
If a man lose ev'rything he owns
Has he truly lost his worth?
Or is it the beginning
Of a new and brighter birth?

So how do you measure the worth of a man
In wealth or strength or size?
In how much he gained or how much he gave?
The answer will come
The answer will come to him who tries
To look at his life through heaven's eyes

And that's why we share all we have with you
Though there's little to be found
When all you've got is nothing
There's a lot to go around

No life can escape being blown about
By the winds of change and chance
And though you never know all the steps
You must learn to join the dance
You must learn to join the dance

(chorus)

So how do you judge what a man is worth
By what he builds or buys?
You can never see with your eyes on earth
Look through heaven's eyes
Look at your life
Look at your life
Look at your life through heaven's eyes
