The Chloe Agnew forum has a delightful thread in which fans have suggested various songs that they would love to hear Chloe sing. Above all, I personally adore her renditions of famous classical songs for the soprano voice (for example, I've heard "Panis Angelicus" before, but, in my opinion, no one has ever performed it as beautifully as Chloe did at Slane Castle), so my own wish would be to hear her perform more of the most famous classical songs and arias, including:
-"Quando men vo," from Puccini's La Bohème -"O mio babbino caro," from Puccini's Gianni Schicchi -"Un bel di," from Puccini's Madama Butterfly -"Ave Maria" by Schubert (Chloe performs the Bach version, but I would also love to hear her perform the equally famous Schubert version.) -"Voi che sapete," from Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro (aka The Marriage of Figaro) -"Vilja-Lied," from Lehár's Die lustige Witwe (aka The Merry Widow) -"Pie Jesu," from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem -"Voices of Spring" (Frühlingsstimmen) by Johann Strauss Jr.
I threw in an Andrew Lloyd Webber number there, just for fun (although it's a very serious piece), and I would also add that I would love to hear her perform the title song of The Phantom of the Opera ("In sleep he sang to me...") as a duet, with a male singer.

You mean, who would sing the Phantom, to Chloe's Christine Daae? Hmm. That's a very interesting question.. My own favourite Phantom has always been Colm Wilkinson, who performed the part during its acclaimed Toronto run. The Toronto cast recording is also my preferred version of the show (although Chloe would make an even more captivating Christine than Rebecca Caine, and would be much closer to Gaston Leroux's original conception of the character -- a Swedish girl, with blonde hair and blue eyes). http://www.amazon.com/Phantom-Opera-Highlights-Original-Canadian/dp/B0000072VS/But a Phantom performing a duet with Chloe should probably be someone considerably younger (even though he would be obscured by the mask, if they would perform in costume). I'll have to think about it...

Yes, it is -- and if you know the opera, it's an especially poignant title, considering Cio-Cio-San's fate. And you're right, Chloe could and undoubtedly would perform it in Italian (as it should be sung).

So, I also used to imagine with my eyes closed in my bed that she (in a golden dress with a purple bow on it) is singing "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from The Phantom Of The Opera on the stage. What song she sings are you still thinking of?

I'm sadly not very familiar with that Opera I should look it up . I always thought she'd (Chloe) sound good singing "Papa can you hear me?"

I wonder if she could record the ones we might be thinking of. Can she do that?

Maybe she'll make a new solo album with these on it.

Or better yet, a new solo DVD. *sighs*

I'm sadly not very familiar with that Opera I should look it up . Opera arias always means so much more when one learns the lyrics. For example, another aria that I suggested, "Quando me'n vo," is sung by the enchanting Musetta, in La Bohème. Musetta is the opulently gorgeous flirt of the opera (in comparison to the more diminutive, self-effacting Mimi), but she has a kind heart. In the "Quando" aria, she's enflaming the jealousy of her true love by singing (truthfully) about all of the male attention that she receives. The lyrics lose something in translation, but the sense is something like: As through the street I wander on my way the people turn to look at me. My beauty fascinates them, all eyes admire my grace and my charm. And with delight I sense their silent vows of love and the mesage of their glances and then the joy of conquest fills my heart. Every man is my prize. And thus their hearts, their hearts, I capture by magic -- what rapture is mine!(And of course, at this point, the proud Marcello can no longer deny his love for her, and loses his heart.) This would be a rather fitting aria for Chloe to sing in performance, more in the this-worldly style of CW's "romance" songs, which balance their spiritual numbers.
