I read that they thought that "Celtic Man in Celtic Thunder" was too long so they just changed it to Celtic Thunder.  I'd have preferred Celtic Man personally but I don't really mind.   Smiley

ther has been a Celtic Thunder for some time.

Wonder how they can stop any confusion.

Celtic Thunder sounds better than Celtic Man anyway

Amazon has the Celtic Thunder CD available for preorder but not the DVD yet.  They have samples for all the songs on the CD (which has less than on the DVD).

I just want to post a note to make sure there's no confusion.  I'm sure Celtic Thunder is a terrific group and deserves every success.  But they have no connection to CW Ltd or Celtic Collections.  We can certainly continue to talk about them, just as we would any other musicians we enjoy.  As a matter of policy, however, the administration of this forum will be much more involved in the promotion and success of The High Kings.

Rich, I respectfully disagree.

Isn't Shaorn Browne with Celtic Collections?

Celtic man appears to have changed their name from Celtic Man Celtic Thunder to just Celtic Thunder.

This is or was another group called celtic Thunder a while back.

Sharon Browne appears to have been involved with Celtic man Celtic Thunder.

Sharon left before ANJ was taped.  She and Phil Coulter are producing Celtic Thunder.

Which is why I think keeping Celtic Thunder in the General, and possibly making a new section for The High Kings would be good. I agree, we should promote The High Kings because of their association to CW LTD, but remember it was Sharon and David who brought us Celtic Woman. Besides I like both new groups  Wink.

Just my silly opinion

Moving right along, tour dates have been posted on their website, and new pics were added under the photos section.   Wink

As I said in another post somewhere, my understanding is.....
the Group is called CELTIC MAN  and their Show is called CELTIC THUNDER.

Quote:
"Just in time for the winter thaw, in March of 2008 public television will broadcast a new show, Celtic Man in Celtic Thunder to audiences in the United States, according to a press release issued by Celtic Thunder Limited and published on prnewswire.com. Created by Sharon Browne, the same woman who gave us Celtic Woman, which topped charts and still runs on public television, the show was filmed in Dublin, Ireland at the Helix Theater in August of 2007. WLIW of New York is the company distributing the show."

It's unfortunate and confusing that there was already a Celtic Man compilation CD, and a Group called Celtic Thunder.

Nope.  The group's name has officially been changed to Celtic Thunder.  The "Celtic Man" domain name even points to the CT web site now.
