We were a tough croud for the first half of the show last year. Mairead was a jumpin and a leapin and we were all just sitting there. Ray was at his drums, sort of leaning up and forward and sticking his arms up and out clapping, sort of like telling us "HEY WAKE UP AND CLAP". It wasnt until the second half of the show that things started jumping. People were then getting into it.

That's how it was at my concert... I mean, Mairead was bringing on some great music and it was like the crowd was sleeping or dead or something... It wasn't until Ray and Mairead started clapping until they crowd joined in. I mean, Mairead and Ray would not stop clapping until the crowd joined in! It was pretty great how they made them do that! And after that, we pretty much warmed up... Smiley

*lol*  I bet I know of a few people who won't need much, if any, encouragement to join right in!   And yes, I'm one of them!!!

Mel, just keep an open mind and your ears open. No one loves Lisa more than I do but I really enjoyed seeing Alex perform. Four times so far. This isn't her first time on stage and she is very relaxed. Her voice is different from Lisa's but great in her own way.
As for quiet audiences, I have never been in one. I start clapping with the first opening sounds and continue to yell and clap through the concert. Some time people look at me like I am a crazy old dude but most of the time they join me before long. If I am there, it ain't quiet.

Guys, this isn't a serious thread LOL..

I am open minded and I am sure I will be surprised and pleased...

But I am not saying it will not feel very strange at that first show, when I don't see Lisa in the dark in the first song. This is going to be just like my very first show last year. Apprehension till that first song is over  Wink Cheesy, but it will be ok.

Least I won't have people staring at me like then did at Verona when Meav started singing The VOICE
