So what did we have to do in the car driving between Toledo and St. Louis?  Absolutely nothing, except come up with a list of songs that Ryan, Andi, and I would put on a mixed CD.

The Soft Goodbye~CW (Helix)
At the Ceili~ANJ
Green the Whole Year Round~CC
Send me a Song~Lisa
Someday~Chloe
Dante's Prayer~Meav
Shenandoah~ Hayley
Aililiu Na Gamhna~Orlagh
One More Day~Deirdre
There is no Night~Mairead
Carolina Rua~Lynn
Bonus Songs:
Mo Ghile Mear
Sing Out!

Sorry to Alex, you don't have a solo CD.  (HINT, HINT, HINT!)

Sara,

I'll see if I can beat all the fiddle pixie fans to this.  Grin
You still need more Mairead! Songs including Ashoken Farewell, My Lagan Love, Granuialle's Dance, The Butterfly, and maybe Bluelights, and The Setting Sun, AND a second CD are a necessity!  Roll Eyes

Also you need more Orlagh! Songs would include Down By Sally Gardens, Raglan Road, Carrickfergus (her version not CW's), and of course, The Water Is Wide. Hope this beats Kelli's post on this topic! Grin

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a Heaven in a wild flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.    William Blake
How does Mairead hold my Heart in her hands
when she touches bow to strings,
And Orla reach my Soul
when she strokes her harp and sings?  2B0B

We took one off each of each solo CD and then one from each group cd and finally a couple of group numbers.  Thats why there isn't more by an individual artist.

Ah, the minimalist approach to perfection (also used by many governments!), do the least possible to cover the subject.

Not a criticism, just a comment on philosophy. Mine is "The more good stuff you can cram on a CD, the longer you can enjoy it!" Grin

How long is your CD? Mine don't have room for another song!

No idea.  We just wrote the list, didn't actually make a real CD.

My ultimate mixed cd would never have the room for all the music that touches me. Thank God for my iPod and my 300 song playlist!

*chuckles*

Hmmm, I don't have all of the solo CD's yet, although I do have at least one from each of the girls (except Lynn's and, of course, Alex).

I suppose I could start working on preparing at least some of that songlist, then consider filling in where possible

Oops ... just realized I forgot to mention I don't have Deirdre's CD yet either, although it's high on my list as well, especially after talking to Chris in the chatroom a few nights ago.  I'm also hoping to add Amy's at some point, but I might need to slow down a little bit, it might be a good idea to occasionally buy food!

I received my copy of Deirdre's CD Saturday and it's been playing most of the morning here at the office.  Once your budget allows (you must eat and such of course) you really want to get it.

Personally, I'm waiting for new Lisa & Mairead CD's (and perhaps one from Lynn).
