Many of us get screen grabs from the DVD's.

Okay, so how do you do a screen grab?
I would like to make my own banner but haven't a clue where to begin.

You use whatever software you have on your computer that plays a DVD. I have a program called InterVideo WinDVD that plays the DVD and allows me to capture individual frames to save as JPG files.
Other programs, such as Windows Media Player, will also work. You just have to Pause the playback whenever you want an image, hit Ctrl - PrtScn at the same time to save the image to memory, and then Paste the image into any Image Editing software. Then you can crop and adjust as you desire. It's a little tougher to get individual frames this way. You have to wait for all motion to stop.
If you don't have software on your computer, it's very difficult to capture decent images from the TV as you play the DVD.
Hope this is useful.

For those who have/use it, Cyberlink's PowerDVD has a "Capture Frame" option. It also has an option to speed up or slow down movies you have playing, so you can slow the action down to wait for the exact moment (the speed controls work in both forward and reverse) and then click the Capture Frame. That also has two options, one saves it to your clipboard where you can then paste it to a program, the other is actually a "save as file" option so you can save the frame onto your computer automatically.
I'm thinking of doing some experimenting (haven't gotten brave, and time, enough yet) to see if I can create my own little animated clip from frames captured off the DVD's.

search, search, and search some more. i've not had much luck with google...just get the same ol' publicity shots and stuff, but live search(msn's search engine) pulled up some interesting things. I have seen some pics that others have and I can't find them...so hopefully they will share their secret
