Here I am. Not that I'm too happy to be here. I'd much rather be over there, but there's not really any better because either way, I'm still here. I'm still here! Odd.
Anyway, was it worth it? Let's just say...NOT IN THE LEAST. By the time I went, the songs were so deeply rooted in my mind no amount of fasting could drive 'em out. Tongue
What's even worse is that I started to get USED to it. Cry
In conclusion, be smarter than I was. Don't fast. Wink

Didn't you fast for a whole month, though, flip? I just did a week and it made the concert amazing!
But I understand what you mean about getting used to not hearing the songs...it started to happen to me on the last couple of days...I actually went 10 days, not a week.

But did you enjoy the concert??

The concert was tee-riff, the audience markedly less so. Cry

I didn't do the whole CW fast thing...I listened to the solo albums and ANJ on the way to the concert, it was still amazing (or améaving as some of you would say).

Prior to the Red Rocks cancellation I fasted from CW for two weeks. I was miserable. Now five weeks later I probably listen to it even more. I may go without the day of the concert but I will never fast from CW for extended periods of time again. It is not fair to my family (Boy was I grouchy) and not good for other Colorado Springs drivers (I am a much kinder gentler driver with CW playing on my stereo).

If I can see them in Springfield in November,I'll probably go 4 or 5 days without listening.

I fasted from Celtic Woman for two days after the Red Rocks postponement in May. I was so down I couldn't listen. Instead I wrote four pieces then bucked myself up and have not missed a day since except while in Dublin on the days the ladies weren't in concert.

I did it for about 2 weeks before my concert back in June!!!!! (I'll probably do it again, too!) I ALWAYS do that before I go see a Broadway show, too, but I do it for even longer then. It just gives it a breath of fresh air and some release!

Can't fast. Don't work. Songs pop into head, and the Voice says 'Play them. Play them again.'
So I do.
Dulaman is playing now as I write...lol.

I don't listen the day before or of the concert, but that's about the extent of my "fasting".

I will probably fast about week before my concert. I should do so now and then, I think. Regarless if there'll be a concert, because now I attempt to go through 49 songs of CW each day, which is nearly impossible for me. But I will fast before my concert in January Smiley

I did a two week fast.  It was difficult but I found it did make me appreciate their music even more.  After the fast was over I got to see the girls two nights in a row... and have been hooked ever since.   Smiley
