"Celtic Woman: The Rogue Laugh" a fiction by me

It was about last year after the Celtic Woman Christmas Helix concert when Chloe, Lisa, Mairead, Meav and Orla were kicking back on the sofas backstage and talking about how they had a great time performing on the stage.

Mairead: ...and then as the four of you got along singing, I was moving around while fiddling which---

Chloe: *starts laughing* Fiddling? I thought you meant fiddle as in violin. *continues laughing and then rolls on the floor*

Meav: What's happening with her?

Orla: Chloe's got an uncrontrollable laugh because of Mairead's joke.

Lisa: I think she said the word fiddle like an instrument.

Chloe: Stop! *squeals with more laughter* I can't either! You're making me lose my funnybone! *loud laughter*

Lisa, Meav & Orla: Mairead!

Mairead: What? I was just saying that I was fiddling around which engages our people, seriously.

Meav: *kneels next to Chloe* We've got to tell David about her laugh. She's not quieting down when she gets over-amused.

Orla: Perhaps a strap of silver tape will seal her mouth. Won't it, Lisa?

Lisa: Yeah. I think that would do it. Meav and I will hold her while you tape her mouth, is that OK?

Orla: Sure, it is.

Meav: Then let's hold her still.

Orla: OK. *takes a strap of tape and puts it on Chloe's mouth* How's that?

Meav: Good enough.

Orla: Alright then. Let's go. *they all lift the muffled laughing Chloe up*

And so, when Lisa, Meav and Orla were carrying the rogue laughing Chloe whose mouth had been taped and been followed by Mairead who thought she was serious, they took her to a place where David Downes was making more music.

Lisa: David, I think we have a problem here.

Meav: Chloe cannot stop laughing because of Mairead.

Orla: You've got to help her stop it, please!

David: I'm sorry girls, but I'm busy writing some more songs for you to sing.

Lisa, Meav & Orla: Why?

David: Because I can't help you anymore, so just go away.

Lisa, Meav & Orla: *groan and turn away*

Meav: I don't understand.

Lisa & Orla: Me neither.

Mairead: At least I was just making some fun up.

Chloe: *muffled* Hello? Can somebody take this strap of tape off me? I can't breathe.

Lisa: Oh. Right. *pulls tape off* Now, what did you think Mairead said?

Chloe: Well, as I have heard, we four vocalists were having a great time with her and she was fiddling around. And when we were just kicking around, I laughed, but it was a little too wild.

Meav & Orla: Hmm.

Chloe: And then you put a strap of tape on my mouth which is too serious. My funnybone is almost getting hurt. Would you rather not do that to me again? It's just a little fun.

*crickets chirp, Lisa, Meav & Orla murmur*

Chloe: *picks up electric guitar* Are you ready to do a lot of fun, Mairead?

Mairead: Ready.

Chloe: OK. *plays electric guitar during an intro*
