Hope Mark can win tonight! He won the last time they were in Phoenix. He could gain a little on Jimmie and make it interesting in Homestead-Miami.

About a half hour ago I believe. Nothing big has happened yet, Johnson 2nd and Marks 5th and closing. Kurt Busch is the leader.

JImmy won today, meaning all he has to do is finish 25th or better to win the championship for a fourth year in a row.

That was a given today. Jimmie crashes one week and makes it all up the next. He'll have to have big problems early in order for it to be close. Well we'll have to wait another year to see a new champ, maybe....

Maybe next Feb. they could just go ahead and present the 2010 Nascar trophy to J.J. at Daytona.

JJ leads, Marcos did take the lead but had a flat tire a few laps later. Jr's coming to the front! Moved up 19 spots already!

Congrats to him! I was pulling for Mark to pull something out somehow but it wasn't meant to be. Well now the 09 season is over, I'm amazed at how fast this season went by! Only 2 and a half months until they do it all over again

Time to revive the Nascar thread! It's been a crazy off season to say the least! The wing is going to go the rout of the dodo bird and will be replaced by the spoiler. Start times for the races will be more uniformed and in some races earlier. Danica Patrick will be joining the Nationwide series for JR Motorsports. But will not run the race in Daytona. But she will be in the ARCA race. Most of the chase races going to ESPN instead of ABC (not a fan of that!) and in July we will see the debut of the new Nationwide COT which the Ford mustang will make its Nascar debut. On February 6th the cars getting back on the track at Daytona for Pole qualifying and the Budweiser shootout, which will have a new format once again.
Very excited that the off season's almost over! Hope Jr can get over the slump from the last 2 seasons. Who's everyone else's pick for the 500 this year?
