Big crash! Robby Gordon and #21 crashed in turn 4. Looked like Robby had nowhere to go except into the 21...

The 00 looks strong tonight! Up to 3rd. Harvick just went behind the wall and Biffle looked like he was having engine trouble.

The 00 is working Gordon! But he just can't make it stick on the inside.

After green flag pitstops David Reutimann cycles back to the lead. Only 25 more laps, Hope there is no caution between now and the finish.

Yes, Good to see "Cousin Carl" Get a good run as well! Every one in the top 5 needed a good run and Gordon inched closer to points leader Kevin Harvick as we near the Chase.

Thanks for joining in the discussion tonight, Scuilly. Smiley

No problem...it was fun! Carl moved from 12th in points to 10th...I thought it was cool that the top finishers are different then the usual suspects...

After the Coke Zero 400, Daytona international Speedway started their massive repaving project of the entire racing surface. The pavement was originally put down when they constructed the speedway in 1958 and was resurfaced in 1979. Come February 2011 the project will be completed just before the beginning of Speedweeks.

Many drivers have mixed feeling about putting down new pavement. The old surface put handling above overall speed which separated the racing between Daytona and it's sister track Talladega. But after the problems in the 2010 Daytona 500 where the track was coming up causing extensive delays during the race to repair it, Most agreed it was time for a new set of pavement.
