Big day for NASCAR, Today is the 17th annual Brickyard 400. I still remember watching the first one back when I was a kid! Makes me feel old lol! Should be a good one, Juan Pablo Montoya is on the pole for todays race and is looking to make up for missing out on the win last year due to a speeding penalty. If he wins today his car owner Chip Ganassi will become the first car owner in history to win the Daytona 500, the Indy 500, and the Brickyard 400 all in the same year! Hope JPM can do it today!

Didn't even make a full lap before the first crash happened! 18,00,19,77,64, and 83 were involved. Kyle Busch doesn't look like he got anything significant in that one.

Jeez that was a eventful 10 laps! Several cars were over heating, Newman and Robby Gordon both had tires go down, and Max Papis had a pretty big fire. After pit stops Jimmie Johnson got off pit road first.

Also The German grand prix just completed. Spanish driver Fernando Alonso won that race. Good month for Spain, winning the world cup and now this race!

Wow! What a move by Montoya! Drove right around Johnson on the outside! If he can hold it together this could be his race to loose.

Montoya was saying he had a vibration in the car! Looked to have tire defect. He brought it in before it blew gave up track position but is still in this. Mark Martin is the current leader of the race.

Looks like Montoya's car isn't as strong in this run. Still hasn't passed Biffle for the lead.

Montoya leads getting off pit road! Looking to get back on track from earlier. Jimmie Johnson really has a problem with the car. They were changing the front shocks on the car. They tried to get him back out before he went 1 lap down but they didn't make it out in time.

Gordon hit something on the track. Cuts in both right side tires and a broken splitter brace! Caution is out for debris.

WOW! That pit stop under caution shook everything up! Montoya came out 7th! McMurray came out of the pits first, He took only 2 tires. I think Jeff Gordon has the lead.

Harvick takes the lead from McMurray just as the 42 of Montoya hit the wall coming off of turn 4 and came right down on Dale Jr. Looks like JPM's try at the brickyard is dashed once again.... He was my pick today too!
