Indycar is racing at Twin Ring Motegi tonight at 11:30pm. First race though on the road course there. That's definitely interesting!

Especially at the mile and half tracks. Seemed like everyone of those tracks came down to fuel mileage.

Seriously fast, American Motorcyclists Association Pro racer #21, Elena Myers: …On May 15, 2010 at age 16, Elena Myers became the first woman to win an AMA Pro Racing professional motorcycle road race, at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California.
For the teenager from Discovery Bay, California, it was a long time coming, but all part of a plan put into effect when she was 12 years old. Even then, there was something about the youngster's maturity and confidence that caught the attention of Team Hammer co-founder John Ulrich, who has made a name for himself as a man with a keen eye for spotting racing talent…Full bio here: http://www.elenamyers.com/About_Elena_Myers.php2008- Promotional video (At this point Elena is 14 or 15 years old and not yet eligible for a pro license): Put on your helmet for this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CpOAODZbz82010- Elena Myers wins Pro Supersport race at Sonoma, CA: (First woman in history to win an AMA Pro Road Race). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErZq4cuPd4Y&feature=related2011- Elena Myers compilation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y12Pso4bkSwJoin Elena's fan club! LOL! Old guys ruled in Coratia over the weekend! American Greg Hancock, the "seasoned citizen" of GP Motorcycle Speedway Racing clenched his second World's Championship with one race to go. Greg, born in 1970, is now the oldest Speedway World Champion ever. He won his other World's Championship in 1997. http://www.speedwaygp.com/Good bio here: http://www.speedwaybikes.com/rw/ugreg_h.htmCongratulations Greg! Final race of the season is 8 October in Grozow, Poland.

Annual antique tractor pulls. A few of the images captured on Saturday which is the warm-up day: Terry, and her beautifully restored John Deere, had the longest pull I saw. Classes include modifieds. Here Mike makes a high speed pull with his twin engine Farmall. Even the sled is an antique! Smoke in the distance is from a nearby wildfire. Dan hand cranks his old McCormick. He got it lit on the second try. Water and air filled rubber tires are definitely superior.

Not sure if most of you know, Tragedy struck the Indycar season finally today in Las Vegas when on lap 11. A massive crash in turns 1 and 2 occurred sending 3 cars air born, One into the catch fencing. That driver being this years reining Indy 500 champion Dan Wheldon. he was rushed to the hospital with life threating injures. But unfortunately his injures we too great. His loss was such a tragedy to both Indycar as well as the motorsports community. Especially due to his storybook win in the indy 500 back in May of this year and for his work in the development of the new, safer Indycar design. Which if it where used today could have prevented the events of this afternoon. My thoughts are with his family, team and fellow competitors. RIP Dan Wheldon 1978 - 2011

A devastating tragedy. My prayers go up for Susie Wheldon and her and Dan's two little boys. …When drivers returned to the track for the tribute laps, Wheldon's No. 77 was the only one on the towering scoreboard. Franchitti sobbed uncontrollably as he got back into his car for the memorial ride. The sound of "Danny Boy" echoed around the track, followed by "Amazing Grace." Hundreds of crew workers from each team stood at attention in honor of Wheldon…Full article with video and links here: http://espn.go.com/racing/indycar/story/_/id/7111712/dan-wheldon-dies-following-indycar-crash-vegas'%20rel='nofollow
