#21 Elena Myers, Team SuzukiScoopFans Suzuki, 6th quick in the Motorcycle SuperStore.com SuperSport class practice session today at Road Atlanta, Braselton, Georgia, USA. Elena's fast lap was 1:34.246 seconds at 97.405 miles per hour (mph). 158.65 mph at the speed trap. #1 James "The Rocket" Rispoli, Celtic Racing/Orient Express Suzuki, on top the practice board with a 1:32.815 at 98.906 mph. AMA Live Timing shows 162.19 mph at the speed trap on his 15th lap. This is out of character for all his other laps. James must have gotten a super draft at just the right moment. Both Elena and James were in and out of the pits twice durng the 50 minute session. This is usually a good sign that they consider the machine setup to be good or very close to good. LOL! We got home too late last night to watch it. I'm going to play it back right now. I did hear that Blake crashed and still came back for the win! Here is the AMA Press Release: http://www.amaproracing.com/rr/news/index.cfm?cid=52670

...Well another weekend is now in the books, and unfortunately it wasn't how I wanted to come back from my surgery. Although it didn't give me much pain, my arm had atrophied quite a bit over the last few weeks, leaving me with less strength than usual at one of AMA's toughest circuits...Elena Myer's full, post Road Atlanta, message here: http://www.facebook.com/elenamyers21Facebook users please note Elena is very close to 10,000 "likes". So Danica will be in the Coke 600 on Sunday? I guess no Indy 500 for her this year? I heard someone post on FB she has NO chance to win! I kind of hope she does!
So tomorrow is a BIG day for you race fans. I wonder how many posts get added to this thread!

Yep and next year she's going to attempt the double, Both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola "World" 600 in the same day. Would be interesting to see what team she might run the 500 with. Maybe a Penske or Gannasi ride? Tonight though she's going to be running for experience. She's running a limited number of races in 2012 in the Cup series.

Joey Logano in the Home Depot #20 gets his second win. After repaving Pocano, the timing lights on pit road were moved...looks like numerous teams didn`t get the memo

It took longer than most expected... Erica Enders becomes first female Pro Stock winner... ...It was a good day for female drivers as four made the semifinals in the three high-profile divisions — Hillary Will in the Top Fuel, Alexis DeJoria and Courtney Force in the Funny Car and Enders in Pro Stock. No female driver had ever won a race at Route 66 in those three divisions, and it was the first time four women made the semifinals in one NHRA racing date...Full article here: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/13535449-419/erica-enders-becomes-first-female-pro-stock-winner.htmlTeam website here: http://cagnazziracing.com/page.php?page=drivers/erica-enders/Erica's win makes it four for four in (US) National Hot Rod Association Drag Racing. Women have now won in all four of the premier classes- Top Fuel, Nitro Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. Congratulations Erica!
