I for one am quite glad to see lots of good-quality genuine Celtic music acts out & about these days.

By "genuine" I mean that sometimes "exotic"-sounding "mood music" is dubbed "Celtic" whether or not it has any connection to the genuine Celtic traditions.
Fortunately, Celtic Woman is giving the world a refresher course!

(To which I should probably add that David Downes' arrangements & original works certainly demonstrate — in case there was any doubt

— how home-grown Irish music not only remains a living tradition, but also still leaves much room for originality & modern interperetations. ...Oh, & same goes for Loreena McKennit.
