How would they release just one song? I mean, it`s not something you could go out and purchase(or is it?) Would it only be available online?

Probably just Online, they hardly release hard copy singles to buy.

Used to happen that way.  I didn't usually buy them myself, but I have an Enya CD which was given to me that's a single.  Well, it actually has three songs on it, but the other two are listed as "bonus".

???I feel stupid but I don't really understand.  Huh

Is this saying that this song will be released before the CD as a single?  And would it be available on Itunes or something like that?  Sorry, but I just am a little confused.

Yes, this song will be released as a single with downloads from the popular sites like ITunes, maybe Amazon, etc.  The Tour DVD/CD won't be available for quite some time since it won't be taped until the end of the present Tour, likely in early July.

Wonder if there will be a way for Radio Stations to get a hold of it. This would be a great song to play during the 4th of July weekend.

Oh they definitely will. When artists record cds and release 'singles' the radios can play them. I'm sure this is no different.

The record label, in this case EMI, has to release specific tracks to radio outlets for the song to be played. That's why you only ever year a select few songs off of any album. In the past, to the best of my knowledge, EMI has never released any songs for use by radio stations.

I have a EMI cd - Holidays 2006 - (Promotional Use Only) - with 2 CW songs on it:  Let it Snow and Ding Dong Merrily On High.  It has a total of 37 tracks on 2 discs by various EMI artists, including Moya Brennan, Sarah Brightman, Peggy Lee and Andre Previn.

I also have a CW promotional cd from Argentina with only 2 songs:  Orinoco Flow and You Raise Me Up.

I decided to let EMI know how I feel about getting this single out to ALL the radio stations!  I emailed them!!!

http://www.emi.com/page/Home_US/0,,12641,00.html

Upper right is a link to "Something to say...get in touch".......

So I did.  Just an encouraging message letting them know how nice it would be to have this single out in time for July 4th.

Suggestion:
Instead of us waiting for the radio stations to receive/play the "Oh America" single, how about we begin stirring interest
by calling your local radio station now to make a request for this wonderful, heart-felt song and tell them why.
Hopefully, radio stations will wonder why all calls, then request the single from EMI.

In the end, everyone wins! ...... especially CW!
