 Wink I see

Last night I had a dream about CW, but it was a nightmare! Here's what happened...

I got on the CWF and when I got on it said that all 4 girls had left CW at the same time! Cry And there were people saying different things like... "I'm done with CW!" and "CW is going to be no more!" and "Who will replace them?!"

When I woke up, I was SO relieved that was only a dream!
I  think  that  is  your  subconscious  mind  dealing  with  all  the  recent  changes  in  CW. Understandable.  Luckily, we  have  the  sweet reality  of  the present  to  reassure  us.   Smiley

I remember my scariest moment of the Isle of Hope Tour was when that pretty fiddler gal snuck up behind me and squeezed me.  (And I have a witness.) Wink

Hey guys, it's been past 2 years, hasn't it? I dreamed that there was a mix between the concert and the circus with a few Celtic Woman members, Máiréad Carlin and the originals, Chloë Agnew and Órla Fallon. With Órla playing the harp, they were singing songs I didn't remember much and there were CeleCele and BesuBesu from Sailor Moon doing their circus stunts. I also saw Chloë in a ruby dress with a big bow on her bodice. There seemed to be a strange-looking competition with the clown as the coach surrounded by stuffed animals in different sizes and I came to be part of it as one of the contestants. I went dazed and suddenly, she announced me as the winner. When I was about to get a prize, my dream stopped.

I dreamed I was going to a Celtic Woman Meet and Greet and couldn't find the train station. That dream sucked.

"I dreamed a dream in times gone by..."

Lol. I couldn't resist.

I dream that a producer will one day have the vision to have Celtic Woman sing in a movie.

Yes, I know they did Princess Toyotomi. The album version sounded particularly beautiful. I get that sound isn't everything that matters in a nominated song and that it is a glorified popularity contest but seriously. They sounded GORGEOUS singing that! That should have been nominated!

Anyways, I think an Oscar nomination, rather than the Grammy awards. Is the best chance for our ladies to get the spotlight and attention they deserve from people around the world. As we've seen from the Grammy Awards, most categories get relegated to the pre-show. As we've seen from the Oscars, most nominated songs get performed live on the big stage (even songs that suck get performed, for crying out loud).

One day, please, I would love to see Sue belting out a show tune, Tara tearing up the stage with her fiddle, Mairead astonishing the audience with her range, and Eabha reducing the crowd to tears with her profound voice. I want to see them on the big stage in their BEAUTIFUL dresses. And I want the world to see what wonderful performers and people they are.

Some say there are dreams that cannot be.

Still, I dream.

I had a strange dream that I was strolling in the city of Belfast on a chilly November day when I heard bagpipes.  I followed the sound to a square where a monument was standing, covered with a cloth of red and white.  Soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment and some of the other services were drawn up nearby, and all around the PSNI held the crowd back.  There was a small dais next to the monument, which held about twenty dignitaries, including Derry soprano Margaret Keys (google her), Tara, and Mairead Carlin, sitting and presumably waiting their turn to perform.  William and Kate sat at the center.

Apparently I had blundered into the dedication of a memorial to Irishmen lost in the War on Terror.  I remember whipping out my camera and seeing what I could shoot.  Two bishop types read from the Book of Ecclesiastes and one of the Gospels.  William and a senior military officer gave speeches about bravery, sacrifice and the like.  Margaret sang Pie Jesu, Tara played a short piece, and then they dropped the cloth to reveal the monument, which was a statue of a modern soldier with the caubeen headdress of the RIR, advancing like he was on patrol.  The bugler sounded "Last Post," and then Mairead Carlin sang "Oft In the Stilly Night" accompanied by the pipes and drums.

The band played for a while as various people laid wreaths of poppies and shamrocks before the monument.  As things were breaking up I debated trying to get a word with Tara and MC, but decided not to.

Hey, you guys, I know it's been so long, but I dreamed that she was in her first Celtic Woman concert performance outfit with her hair tied in a ribbon braid and she was gathering so many crossover characters from every franchise for a musical performance. There was also a magma sphinx and just as I watched the Egyptians doing a dangerous ritual, I ultimately escaped the magma sphinx before it became hot molten magma. I saw the city that was part Tokyo and part Manhattan.
