The show last night in Portland was terrific, although you could make an argument that CW should swear off performing in Hockey Rinks,  they did a nice job setting the stage for another magical evening! The Maine crowd was slow to warm up, nothing like the Manchester crowd earlier in the tour that Lisa herself described as "the closest thing to a rock gig" she had experienced. Sing out got them going and from there on it seemed like the crowd was into it, although the venue was maybe 2/3 full.

I have had the good fortune to see the show 4 times (Manchester, Wallingford and Boston) during this tour and many have done a much better job than I can, suffice to say it was all those things! There were a few really great moments during the evening, The Soft Goodbye and Sing Out performed to perfection....The blessing (despite a lighting glitch that almost had Lisa singing in the shadows), and Chloe just blowing everyone away.

I am captivated by the Voice and Lisa has performed it to perfection at each venue, but last night there was something special about her performance, she nailed every note and when she did that strut to the front of the stage that says my voice is about to take over this place it truly did...there was almost a stunned silence at the end of the song, almost like people were wondering whether or not to clap, sit there stunned or ask her to sing it again!
Another truly engaging moment, which isn't mentioned much in reviews, was Maread's follow up to The Last Rose of Summer...it was captivating and it just took you to another place..an amazing performance!

So now I will relish the terrific memories of the shows and sit, not so patiently for their return to New England!

I'd pretty much second this review. I was glad to see that the turnout was as good as it was considering there was almost no promotion done locally except for an ad in the Maine Sunday Telegram 3 days before the show.

Once again the ladies showed they really know how to hit the perfect notes on both the both the musical and emotional scales.

Meav's performance of "Scarborough Fair" was especially breathtaking! I thought she really made the song her own last night.

Last night was totally amazing. Something that really won me over was Chloe's energy that she has! Did anybody notice during Sing Out that guy in the backing choir who like grabbed her and shook her?! It looked like they were all having a grand time. And yeah, I'd say the place was slow to warm up to them, but once they got going all was well. I LOVED Chloe and Meav's 'Last Rose of Summer,' and the Mairead interlude was aweeeeeeeesome.

Dan, I love Chloe and Méav's version of Last Rose! It's beautiful! It's a shame those two don't do more duets together...their voices sound really nice together!!

I agree! I thought them holding hands at the end of the song was so sweet as well!
