Hey, it just adds affect!
I'm actually not a scary movie person at
all.My mom used to laugh about how when I was about 2 years old,
I was watching some kids show on PBS, and they were camping. All of a sudden, there's a bear.
You know, kids-tv-show-type-bear: Big, furry, looks like a giant teddy bear.
Anyways, I, apparently, lost it. I ran and hid behind the couch and peered through my horrified tears at the giant furry teddy bear on the TV screen.
Needless to say, I wasn't allowed to watch anything even mildly scary as kid.
Now, The Day After Tomorrow is about as scary as I'll watch. I attempted to watch The Ring with some friends, and ended up getting a play-by-play of when I could come out from under the blankets....which was about 3% of the movie.
