I read it for my 9th Grade Pre-AP English class. It wasn't bad, just...not very interesting. Tongue

Reaction on CWF when Isle of Hope CD comes out

I read it in my 9th grade English class as well! (Of Mice and Men).  Our teacher LOVED this play, so we studied it at length.  I liked it, but I found that I liked some of Steinbeck's other novels better, such as 'East of Eden'.

I've always thought they were ridiculously similar.  West Side Story is great but they stole the idea from Shakespear.

According to one source, West Side Story's an 'updated' version of Romeo and Juliet.

Hayley is looking great there (as always)  Cheesy

Anyway, I would say Romeo & Juliet beats out west Side Story. Franco  Zeffirelli's 1968 adaptation. They had Michael York as Tibolt, and a 15 yr old actress named Olivia Hussy starred as Juliet. It is a classic.
