West Side Story, probably, considering it's a musical and Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. Wink

...although the aforementioned 1968 film did contain a very lovely ballad indeed, which I believe was called "What is a Youth?" (But don't quote me on that.) The tune was adapted for  Henry Mancini's slightly more cloying "Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet," which itself was fitted with lyrics a little later on and called "A Time for Us."

In all its various incarnations, the melody is to die for.

That melody is one of my absolute favorite songs! Josh Groban does an amazing Italian rendition of it! I even got the music for my violin so I could play it... It's a surprisingly easy song!

I just saw Spiderman... It was really kind of strange. It ended up being more of an actiony, cheesy, chick-flick than a super hero movie. Mary Jane kind of annoyed me at certain points, and Spiderman turns into an ignorant, cocky jerk. He actually goes "emo" at one point. For those of you who know what this is, he even does the emo kid hair toss. I kid you not.

Little Miss Sunshine was pretty funny and I took my 9 year old nephew to see Pirates of the Caribbean.  Anyone see that one?  I felt bad for my poor nephew at the end with that slightly explicit scene.

It seems that follow-up installments of popular film series are usually rather disappointing when compared to the original. It's understandable really; they're so worried about reusing ideas that they play it a bit too safe. Undecided

I don't think they're playing it safe.  I think they're trying too hard to keep the franchise going and thus, feel compelled to "write for the next film" instead of a good ol' fashioned normal ending (i.e. the first P of the C movie)

Reaction on CWF when Isle of Hope CD comes out

Just saw "Evan Almighty" - Enjoyed it, Steve Carrell is a funny guy.  It's a good family flick.  It's a spin-off from 'Bruce Almighty', this time with Carrell as the lead.  God (Morgan Freeman) comes to Evan and tells him to build an ark...

I want to see "Evan Almight". "Bruce Almighty" was funny so I figured that the next one would be as well. Has anyone ever seen the movie "Freedom Writers"
