I read somewhere that Orla would be on a PBS special soon. Have I missed it? Can someone inform me when it's going to be on? What is it called? Who else is on it? Why is she on it? I don't know that much about it. Can someone help?

Hey Everyone!

I'm Margie and I'm new on the site. I thought you might enjoy this information!

Orla is appearing in a PBS Special Beautiful World featuring superstars Jim Brickman, Jon Secada, American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle and others in a celebration of music bringing the world together.

Taped live this summer near the Peace bridge in Niagara Falls, Orla sings My Land, from her upcoming new album Distant Shore, traditional favorite Isle of Innisfree  and there is a great finale with What the World Needs Now.

Tune in to watch Orla's return to PBS stations coming next Sunday, August 2 on a PBS station near you.

Hey, folks!  Could you guys give me a hand with this?  When I asked my local PBS station about airing the Beautiful World special, I was told  it was not scheduled to be shown at this point, but that they'd be glad to put in a request!  I'm sure there's more of you out there that watch WTTW, or are members there, maybe you could also send them a request about airing it?  I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been eagerly awaiting this special!  Thanks.

I don't think I'll be able to see it. My cousin is getting married on that day and the only PBS station I get doesn't normally show anything good. There might be reruns, but I'm just not sure.
