Yes, there's a wee bit of nepotism going on in the old Ropes family. I am going to be the new Global Mod and this is only my first post! Really, I came to Celtic Woman pretty late in the game.
As I'm sure most of you know, my father and I recently had a series of very bad things happen to us and Celtic Woman and Hayley became my refuges from the painful feelings I was going through. It started with Hayley singing Scarborough Fair on the PBS ANJ special and it just spread from there. Soon after, I'd seen my first two CW shows and now I'm the new Global Mod.
I'll be tough but fair, my judgments will be harsh but just! The power has gone to my head! Okay, I'm only kidding. Just here to make sure everyone has a good time and all of that good stuff.
I'll be posting more in the future so you'll all get a chance to get to know me better. I look forward to getting to know all of you better. The outpouring of support for my father and myself during our tough times has made me feel like I've got a family here and I can't wait to become more involved.
So there you have it. The mystery of the new guy solved. My name is Chris, please feel free to contact me with any concerns. Other than that, let's just delight in our shared love of CW.

Thanks for the welcomes. I appreciate it. My dad has a long history with you guys and I'm just beginning to sort through all these old posts and get caught up! I tend to be a bit quiet, so I might not be posting all the time but I'll definitely have things to say here and there, particularly about my much adored Hayley and Máiréad! And Lisa too.
