Hi everyone ! Just got off the phone with the people at brick house direct. They handle processing for Orla's CD & DVD.
Any way the lady I talked to said that it was pulled from the web site because it was put up there to early. They weren't ready for it to be there yet.  Any one that was able to place their order for the CD/DVD will be fine. She said that the CD's and DVD's will go back for sale on the web site in about a day or two.
All orders will ship out November 16th.

I'm a poor student too  ::) ) I'll order it directy from Barnes and Noble  ;D ;D listening to the clips over and over.. A'Soalin (Soul Cake) is fun and upbeating, Away in a Manger is as usual perfect, Bells of Christmas is brings me in the mood, she sings the first version of Joy to the World which is great, and not to forget that AWESOME duet with celtic songbird Méav... LOVE IT ALL!!  ;D ;D

Ordered my CD/DVD last night. YAY!!!

While looking through the latest news on Órlagh's website it said the PBS version of the CD will include 6 bonus songs. Looks like I'll have 3 new Órlagh Christmas CDs this Christmas!

I must have both, I'm placing an order right now. :D

Edit: The clips are amazing, especially Away In A Manger...her and Anuna sound so good together, I was getting emotional.

The picture/sound quality are superb and you just might recognize some folks in the audience as well.

There is also a VERY special surprise included if you know where to look, but I'm swarn to secrecy, sorry.

I will add this personal comment:

I was moved by what Orlagh has done with this surprise and it has cemented my respect and appreciation for her.

I would suggest that as you discover what the surprise is, please keep it quiet for now and let everyone else have the chance to experience it for themselves, without ruining it for them.

Juan, what shipping method did you choose, the faster one or the regular one? I chose the regular one and didn't get that email.

We could try Jedi mind control, or a Vulcan mind meld.

But no matter, since we will learn the secrets soon.

I did not pre-order. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt, going store to store to find it. And if I fail, then I order and then read the secrets via the fan forums.

I used the faster shipping method so that's probably why you didn't get that email.

I struck out looking for it at stores. I anticipated this could happen, but the one store I went to is pretty good when it comes to CW. It had Chloe's, Mairead's, and Meav's CDs in stock, along with all the CW stuff. I could have sworn they had Orla's CDs before too, but not now. The kid working there tried looking it up, but Orla wasn't even on the sytem  >:(   So time to order via Amazon.

On the bright side, I drifted on into one of the mall's sports clothing stores and they had way too much inventory of college t-shirts, so they were selling at $5 each. Usually such shirts cost in the $15 - $20 range. I bought 5 different Notre Dame shirts!  :o   :)

edit - Just checked the Barnes & Noble web page. Looks like its in stock at several local stores. Should have done that in the first place.

I got the dvd today (Barnes & Noble), and it is great!  I was hoping for more crowd views, but it is beautifully done.  Orlagh should be proud.  :)

I also bought it today at Barnes & Noble. Its very good. Although I don't think they needed many more crowd views, they could have made one more...a close up of me  :D   I am pretty darn hard to see, just a distant foggy blur on the edge. I got close to getting on, but they stopped it at a certain Ohio resident, his friend, and a certain time traveling dog from Pennsylvania. The 2 guys with law degrees on the end were cut out! (John lets sue them)  ;) :D

I got my Orla Fallon Celtic Christmas CD and DVD today.   And I managed to wait a whole 30 minutes before popping the DVD in the player.

But before I did, I read through the liner notes (I always do this when I get a new CD......just habit)

And let me say that when I read what Orla wrote, it brought tears to my eyes!     And Im not a cry-er.

I dont want to spoil the experience for you,  just take my word for it..........You Have To Read It!!

I've just finished watching th DVD....brings back such happy, exciting memories of being there....seeing Orlagh and all the others on stage.  It was so great to be there and now to be able to enjoy it over and over.  Orlagh is the BEST!

Mine arrived two days ago.

I received my combo pack today as well!!  I just finished watching the DVD.  Saw a lot of familiar faces in the pit seats!  ;)  It was WONDERFUL!!  How I wish I had been able to go!!  Got a little choked up on a couple of the songs.  You could also see how much it meant to Órlagh and Méav to sing together again!  Hope to see Órlagh at at least one of her tour stops coming up!

WOW!!!! That DVD was faaaantastic!!!!!!!  Órlagh and Méav sounded amazing and brought back old memories from CW!!! I loved all her songs!! Can't wait to see her In October!!!

I was planning to buy the dvd later, but couldn't resist anymore  ::) Money isn't always important, especially not when it's about Órla and Méav  ;D And in euros it isn't very expensive. It will only take a while.. 7 - 21 shipping days  :o

I just got the notice mine was shipped today...since I had it shipped superfastexpressflybynightovertheriverandthroughthewoods mail..MAYBE it will arrive tomorrow morning!. ;D ;D ;D

I haven't gotten my preorder combos yet either; the Pony Express must be feeding their horses.  If they don't come tomorrow I may just have to visit my local Borders and at least get the DVD.  The suspense is killing me too!

Got it, watched it, laughed, cried, smiled, and remembered.  What a gorgeous DVD to watch and listen to.  Thank you Órla for an extraordinary Christmas gift.  And the dedication?  Once again you have shown how special you are by recognizing someone so deserving.  Those of us who have seen you and Kelli together know the amazing connection that you two have; now the whole world will know.

I agree with Zee wholeheartedly. The DVD is just WOW!!!!! And the dedication was very touching!
Everyone on the stage did a fantastic job, but those two songs with just Órlagh and Méav were really something special!

We too are anxiously awaiting delivery of our combo...my mail carrier will be getting sad looks if it is not here soon.  If it is here before turkey day at least we'll have something special to do rather than parades and football...got car racing this afternoon...ho hum...worse news we learned that it won't be shown locally on PBS.  Boo hiss! So glad we were there in person. 

     Still awaiting mine.  The diligence of the postal service is, as usual, underwhelming.  :D

Haven't received my order yet, but it should be here in a day or two.  What's funny is I ordered the CD from Amazon just after the orders were shipped... right now, it looks like both will arrive at the same time.   The mail system is kooky sometimes.  :)

I've been a lot overworked and a little under the flu bug lately. I won't lay out a spoiler here but when I read the dedication and watched the DVD I was cured!!!!!! :D

This is perhaps a dumb question, but...

when you say they are signed, do you mean the actual cd & dvd? Or just the insert thing inside the cover? If the actual disks have ink, wont heat melt, or at least distort, the autograph?   :-\

All three of mine are signed "With love, Órla" in the lower left corner of the front cover of the insert.

Owing to my poor description not a dumb question at all Cash. Only the CDs are signed and only on the front cover of the liner notes. The black sharpie on the snow and the silver sharpie on the dark trees. Both say, With love Órla x.

I can partially answer the second part of your question. I loan out DVDs with my name written on the disk with a black sharpie. The sharpie ink has never distorted. I don't loan out CDs because I don't want them to be copied in any way. Instead I give unwrapped CDs as gifts.

    No fair!  Mine were signed only with black sharpies!    :'( :P

Now, boys.......!!! LOL

The fact that Orlagh takes the time to autograph so many CDs to begin with shows how very special she is and how much she thinks of her fans.

Your right Zee. This is no small commitment on Órla's part. (I hope when she signs these she has a helper on her left who unwraps each CD and slides the liner out for her and a helper on the left who slides the liner back in.)

John, you are one of Órla's best fans. I think you are writing tongue in cheek but if you truly feel slighted about this I am willing to swap you my silver sharpie copy with one of your black sharpie copies.

But you have to join us all at Órlapalooza in Salt Lake City, UT, USA this March to do the swap! ;D

  I think Orla did have some relatives there.  Several people came from back stage to be seated in the first two rows behind the orchestra pit.  At one point a hand from back stage came out and got one of them saying to him, "She wants to go outside for some air".  She escorted him backstage, to return some minutes later.

Got mine and I love them (autographed) - got them from the site.  Fabulous concert and I love listening to the music in the car, everywhere I go.
