Orla Fallon’s Celtic Christmas went on sale last week (November 16).  Please keep in mind that not a single TV show on Public Television has aired as of this writing.  The show debuts on several stations this weekend.

 

Billboard informed me last night that in the first week of sales, the CD will debut on the following Billboard charts:

 

·         Top 200 Current Albums

·         World Music Chart

·         Heat Seekers

·         Independent Labels

·         Christmas

 

What I will not know until the end of the week is the number that the album is on each chart.  But first week sales across the country were very good.

 

 

On behalf of Orla and Elevation, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been instrumental in this project.

  Great news!  And so begins it's climb up the charts!  I predict PBS stations will be back quickly for more orders and many people will also purchase it elsewhere  after viewing the PBS airings!   ;) ;D ;D

The CD entered The World music Charts at #4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   Good Lord!  Do you suppose it will climb any higher?  :o 8)

John:  I am certain it will continue to climb. It is an awesome album.  By the way, Orlagh will be in Columbus, Ohio for a concert on April 28th. Pledge for two tickets with M&G is $200.00. Go to WOSU to pledge.

    Right you are Bruce!  The PBS broadcasts of this special are going to be a welcome wakeup call to many of Orla's fans who had lost track of her since her departure from Celtic Woman.  There should be an up-surge of purchases of Distant Shore and other Orla music as a result too!  ;) ;D

You are correct, John. There certainly will be an upsurge in CD and DVD sales if we have anything to do with it. Speaking of PBS, I just pledged for 2 tickets with M & G to the October 6th show in Bethlehem,PA.!!  ;D ;D

   I pledged yesterday for the Columbus show April 28, 2011!  ;) ;D

Thanks to that Darling of a lady Kelli. ;D  For letting me know the pledegs were in progress for KUED SLC  I was able to pledge and get two Meet and Greet for the March 24 Concert in SLC.  I checked there donation gifts about 15 min later and all the meet and greets were gone I guess they lasted a around twenty to twenty five minutes maybe once they started excepting pldges.  ::) ;D
