Title: Extended version of the Soft Gooodbye
Post by: camelot on November 26, 2010, 07:18AM
I have been listening CW and I have noticed that they refrain from extending some of their melodic songs.Songs like

1.Si Do mhaimeo
2.Soft goodbye

Always leave me wanting more and as a result I always play them twice.I wish we could have the extended versions of these.Does anybody share my sentiment? what other songs could be added to the list ?

I didn't know there was an extended version of The Soft Goodbye. Was it the version that Lisa did on her solo album?

The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun has an extra verse that I'd love to have on CD.

The Lisa solo version has a longer intro, so I guess that may count as extended.

If camelot knows of another version, though, I'm curious to hear it too! :)

Bridge Over Troubled Water (solo version by Lisa L): performed full on tour and on the Emerald DVD, but missing a stanza on the album.

The Light Of Christmas Morn was also shorter on the HFC DVD.

:) Thank You for the Additional's, Wow- I totally forgotten about The Light Of Christmas Morn, -the longer version makes it even more Beautiful ;).
As for Bridge I guess you won't find out what that stanza is, unless you had the Emerald Tour opportunity with Lisa L and not Lynn..~!

You simply can compare the live version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7wnm_FCOsE with the album version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOeGGYb3HzE

On tour contrast to the DVD special True Color's and Field's of Gold are extended, even At the Ceili has another set of movement extra found only on tour. / Carolina Rua Almost 15 minutes longer on the IOH tour than on SFTH, Lynn's CD Take Me with You is  timed  even shorter.

The You'll Be in My Heart Extended version by Alex only on the 2010 SFTH Tour!

I too seem to remember that Fields of Gold and True colors also were longer on tour, but I'm not completely sure.

And if that counts, Nil se'n Là had the additional a cappella intro when it was the opening number for SFTH tour.

The Nil se'n Là a cappella intro was the best opening number to any tour! I Love how Nil se La grows more and more powerful, & that tempo on tour is to die for!... no really!! Miss It! Great it was only for SFTH.

Is it spelled color's or colours ?
