This is one of the best Theatres in the World, up there with La Scala Milan.
The accoustics are the best I've ever experienced, including La Scala.

I have been to a few concerts there, and I would give anything to be there next Wednesday 8th Dec.

Celtic Woman is one of the "Surprise Guests" at the José Carreras Gala, proceeds to go to his Leukemia Foundation
and Asthma UK. Another guest is Dame Kiri Te Kanewa.
So finally.....after being scheduled there on the cancelled UK Tour 2007,
they get to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.

I must agree that The Royal Albert Hall is one of the best Theatres.
I haven't been there but I have a concert on DVD of a string quartet named Bond who played there first concert there.
It was Amazing!

There are DVDs of the José Carreras Gala in previous years, hopefully there will be one of this performance.

The BBC might cover it on TV in Europe.

The annual Charity Gala is always very emotional, José Carreras the very known Tenor – he’s the moderator of the Charity Gala - was concerned with the illness and he’s the founder of the José Carreras Foundation.

The Gala tells us stories about the illness, supports kids and adults with Leukaemia and gives hope for all human with this illness. It is a Gala with haunting and impressive moments, sad and lucky moments, it’s an emotional rollercoaster for all involved with a lot of tears.

José Carreras presents the Gala simultaneous and he speaks with all his guests and there are always beautiful and not expected surprises for the participants.

Just watched the girls on german television and they were great.
All dressed in black with an great lightning on stage.
Christ is the lord sounded beautiful with choir lined-up in a v-shape

AHHHH! I need to see it now lol. I now understand how the Europeans feel when they can't see/hear the girls as often as we can. We are very lucky.

When I was studying in Spain I felt that first hand because I was unable to go to their annual show at Radio City Music Hall. But I'll be there next year on St. Patrick's Day :) :) Can't wait!!!!!

SUPER!!!  I nearly faint...

New Lisa's voice is incredibly beautiful, and is in perfect harmony with two other girls.

Wow. I admit that I didn't have huge expectations of it.. but it was quite amazing  :o Lisa L. fits right in, and I was really empressed by Chloë this performance.

The stage was also gorgeous designed. What an wonderfull event must it have been live.

It was very moving. And the hosts Jose Carreras and Axel Bulthaupt very sensitiv and friendly to the leukemia patients and their families.

Lisa Lambe has got SUCH an amazing voice! I had high hopes for her (you know, being the chosen of Mr. Downes and all) but I had NO idea she was that amazing! Wow!  :o

I love the comment from Axel Bulthaupt before they performed, he had the Christmas angel in his hand and said, Christmas Angel - yes they still exist in reality and they come predominately from Ireland. They are very harmonic and flutter from continent to continent like the 4 charming Ladys from Celtic Woman.

The carol "Froehliche Weihnachten ueberall" brings back happy memories for me.....

I was in Austria with my brother Terry on a skiing holiday....by the way, Christmas and New Year is a fabulous time
to be in Austria or Bavaria! We were staying in a typical Tyrolean hotel, warm and cosy.
Everybody in the hotel bar-restaurant was in a festive mood.
Sitting at our table were members of the German Youth Soccer Team.
Suddenly they put down their steins of beer and started to sing "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" (Silent Night} and everyone joined in, and we all held hands.....there must have been 6 different languages, people of many Nationalities all united in the magic of Christmas.
Then the German guys sang "Froehliche Weihnachten ueberall" which was very jolly and sounded great.
They taught me some of the words, but I know only enough German to get me through a skiing trip! :D

But it makes me a little bit sad to see only three singers in the group now. :(

I hope another girl joined the group for the 2011 tour.

Songs like "Somewhere", "Danny Boy" or "Over The Rainbow" etc. are not the same with only three voices.

Celtic Woman needs at least 4 singers I think.

David, you have a job to do, find at least one more girl!! A lot of high quality is available at the Green Isle. :)

Actually, many feel that the group has done extremely well with the four member (three singers) format.  Keep in mind they have used this format for a while now, including the Summer 2010 tour and the Australian tour as well. 

David has always done an excellent job of ensuring that the ladies are at their best, that the right people are together at the right time.  I think it's safe to believe that he is going to continue to maintain that level of excellence!  In sort, David is the expert ... we should trust him to find the best mix possible!

Celtic Woman has shown with their Jose Carreras Gala and other performances the last six months or so that they continue to make outstanding music with four members. If David and the ladies are comfortable with that, fine.
But I don't think too many fans would be upset if at some point, say the start of a whole new tour, a fifth lady, maybe someone with a strong background in Traditional Irish music, were added to the group.

Great performance. Lisa L has a lovely voice, Máiréad and Lisa K. were looking fine as usual. And it doesn't happen often that I'm really impressed by Chloë (I love and respect her as a part of celtic woman, but she just doesn't affect me as much as some of the other ladies do) but this time I was like wow...  :o Her parts, especially where her voice went a bit different from the others were stunning!
