Believe sounds like a different pressing for previous songs. At least I hope so. Even then, a new cd would be great! But to me it sounds like its a cd just for Japan.

I also guess it will be a kinda compilation of old songs accompanied by a few new ones

I'm absolutely in love with that sample. Even if Believe is just an collection of old songs I want to get my hands on that Eternal Bond-song. They sound so strong in it, and it has some kind of mystical flair. Just beautiful  ;D

Hmmm, I can't get either of the videos to play ... including in my Windows Media Player.  I was able to listen to the song extract on Danny's site but can't view either of the videos.  If anyone figures out what's up with them, please post something here?

Kinda odd release I have to say... some sort of The Greatest Journey-version for Japan? I thought the cds were selled there too.

After Lullaby I doubt that they re-record the songs, but you never know. The site doesn't give any details about that. Looking foreward for a cd with Lisa L. too  ;D

I think they don't re-recorded these songs, it was before the Spring Tour and I think they prefered prepare well the Spring Tour especially for Lisa Lambe. But we never know, by the past they gave us some surprises :D

From what I can gather from the wonder of Google translate the album is actually supposed to be a theme type of thing. It's one of those things that make perfect sense in the Japanese market... but not so much to us here in the US.

The theme song = Eternal Bond.
The theme song title is officially "Princess Toyotomi ~ Eien no Kizuna".
"Eien no Kizuna" is "Eternal Bond" in English. :)

You're right. I also think the first and the last track are essentially same.
But Japanese official site says the following.

15. Princess Toyotomi ~ Eien no Kizuna (the first half : vocalise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocalise))

I guess each track has a different arrangement. So, I said "two" consciously. :D

Great joy of joys, Amazon is Amazon no matter the country. Amazon.co.jp (http://www.amazon.co.jp/) can be viewed in English and you can order from there all you want. They do use a different user database than the one shared by Amazon.com and Amazon.de (at least they did when I started ordering from there) so you'll probably have to enter your information again. CDJapan (http://www.cdjapan.jp/) is another good retailer that delivers outside of Japan. I've pre-ordered Hayley's Japanese stuff from both stores before with no problems.

Short answer, no. Long answer: it has to do with geographical copyright restrictions and where your credit card is charged. Now, having said all that, there are ways around it. iTunes gift cards are store specific. What that means is if you buy an iTunes gift card in the US it gives you US dollars to spend. If you buy one in Japan, no matter where you actually use the card, it gives you Japanese Yen to spend in the Japanese iTunes store. You can find those cards on eBay and they usually just email you the code to plug in. As it stands now, that is perfectly legal. Just make sure you know what you're doing before you do it! I've never tried it, I just know it can be done. If you do decide to go that route, you can always message the eBay seller and ask.

Most Americans you mean.  I imagine that in time, it'll make its way to electronic distribution (this is the age of digital), but not for a while.  For now, it's exclusive to Japan, just like Lullaby was exclusive to the PBS stations for a while.

For those of us in the US, after a little research and some math it looks like YesAsia will be the most affordable option at about $33, with $56 from Amazon.co.jp and $46 from HMV. CDJapan has yet to list it, but assuming they will charge the same price as the others it will come out to about $37. YesAsia even offers free international shipping if you spend more than $39, which comes out to 2 or more.

Oops! The international shipping cost of Amazon Japan is very expensive... I'm sorry for my poor information.

It's a 17.5 hour flight from Austin to Dublin (via DFW) and 19 hours from Austin to Tokyo (via Orlando). So either way it's a bit of a haul to get where they're going. And at least this way, once they get home they'll stay there for awhile instead of going home then packing up and heading back out to do promo in Japan.

Short, hopefully non-technical explanation: the link is to the video itself (not a page where the video is embedded in a nice little player) so it tries to launch in a player on your computer. In this case, it's a Microsoft format that plays on Window's Media Player, RealPlayer, and VLC. If you don't have any of those on your machine, it won't launch.

It seems the only way to get around the geographical restrictions is to set up a new account for the Japananese iTunes music store using the gift cards sold on ebay. The cheapest one you will find is $23-25 for a 1,500 yen GC, but downloading the 2 new songs are only going to cost you 300 yen... so yeah, I would just wait until someone puts them on youtube :)

I can't confirm this, as I've never watched Princess Toyotomi yet :) but I'm fairly certain that they made the Film version to use it as an insert song for the film.
