Title: MONSTER STORM
Post by: Emer Dreamer on October 25, 2012, 04:38PM
The scariest thing this Halloween is that huge hurricane moving up the east coast. Let's keep our prayers  going strong for everyone involved.

Been watching the forcasts...they DON`T know where it`s going but it looks like rain and wind at the very least. I`m SURE the electricity will go off since we lose it if it`s partly cloudy.

I just found out about 'Frakenstorm' today.  I just now checked the forecast, and we're right in its projected path.  D:  I'm praying that everyone will be safe.  This does not look like a fun storm. :(

Yeah.... everyone on the east side has to keep one eye open. I guess it combined with another storm kind of like the Blob.  Luckily, in Minnesota we are far enough in, but I will be thinking of you and the others in this forum I know are out there.

Thankfully I am far enough inland that it wont affect us. But big prayers going out to those affected by the storm. I've never seen a storm like this in my lifetime. Stay safe everyone

Looks like the storm will go ashore south of our area but we`ll still get plenty of wind and rain on Mon. and Tues.

The  meteorologists say that this one even exceeds  the so called  "Perfect Storm" some years back- the one they made a movie out of. I wonder if George  Clooney is up for a sequel.   :P

We`re not supposed to get the real heavy rains but there`s a high wind warning in effect on Monday.

A. That is going to suck getting to work! b. I work in an older building on a hill! It is even bad w slight rain! And doors that are not proper and old and I can have the nightmar of water trecking in!! (And yes has happened before!!) so be safe!

windy and rain/drizzle right now. By this afternoon the winds are supposed to be up to 40-50 with gusts up to 75. The electricity will certainly go out.

Yikes!  Bad winds and rain hear in cleveland and supposed to get really nasty tonight, still have electricity! And I have to work!  Any one who has to go out tonight in this BE CAREFUL!! My grandparents in NY said earlier it wasn't bad (they are pretty much the closest of the family to manhattan) But they said it is supoosed to get nasty tonight) In a way I hope they cancel class tomorrow.  Even though I have a math test that determines my fate and a big lab test out driving the highway in this sucks! i am a good driver when it come to this stuff , and theroads were empty.  But you need to be very careful out their!! SO be safe everyone! And i heard it is going to linger till thursday fridayish!

My thoughts are with you and your family.  This storm affects so many people. I hope your grandparents take heed of any local warnings and recommendations. i'm  especially worried about some of our forum friends who I know are closer to the action than some:  Kevin, our Impatient New York friend, CWF  425 etc.   I know that Tonya and Leighlam will catch the outer edges but not the full brunt. Luckily, Minnesota is far enough away to miss everything except the residual- so I am okay.  If your classes get cancelled, I'm sure you will be just as prepared when they are rescheduled. i just thought of something....What if Lisa K.  and her family are in the country presently?  If so, I hope they are far enough from the danger zone.  So many people to worry about.   ??? ??? ???

It`s gone calm now but it was REALLY windy earlier. The rain came down in bands but at like 8:00 it was like a switch was flipped and it went dead calm.....and the electricity stayed on!
