Title: RIP Pete Seeger
Post by: Gerard on January 28, 2014, 12:17PM
I've just read about the passing yesterday of Pete Seeger, one of the most influential writer/composer/singer of the XXth century, aged 94. A true giant, whose influence on popular music can't be praised enough. So many singers, in so many countries, owe him some of their greatest hits that I can't even begin to list them all.

And yes, I think this topic is at the right place, given that some of those singes are from celtic countries or celtic heritage. Proof :

yes, he wrote "If I Had A Hammer"   and "Turn, Turn. Turn"  and was noted for his concern for Civil Rights. All in all, one of the coolest guys there ever was.

Perhaps he had just sacrificed himself for some reason.
