Title: Her Voice
Post by: Eric90 on February 15, 2016, 10:23PM
I know another thread about her voice lol  But I am seriously impressed with Eabha she is a great addition to Celtic Woman she's like a 2nd Orla she has a deep mysterious ethereal voice perfect for all those traditional Irish songs, anything she sings is instant relaxation I can't stop listening to "How Can I Keep From Singing" and "Walk Beside Me" I wasn't sure if they could find a good replacement for Lisa but they knocked it out of the park, I can't wait to hear live in concert I'm sure I'll get chills and my eyes will tear up lol

I've seen her a couple of times -- twice last fall and once on Christmas tour.  I had mixed feelings.

I made my wife go with me to the Christmas show.  She said her favorite song ended up being Auld Lang Syne by Eabha.  She never liked Auld Lang Syne as a song until she heard Eabha do it.

I really love her voice!

It's deep, profound, and pure!

I wasn't sure at first how her voice and Sean Nós style would mesh with Celtic Woman because it's so different from anything they've had in the group before. But I think they've done a great job of letting her be herself and she's done a great job of making her voice and style work within the framework of the group songs.

Her trills remind me of Lisa Lambe.

But the profound, soothing quality of her voice reminds me of Orla.

Her mild goofiness reminds me of Chloë and Lisa Kelly.

She's like a mini Grand Reunion.  :D

She and Mairead C seem to get up to a lot of shenanigans, from what I've noticed. ;) ;D

Interesting that now witnessing Caranua. Of course it's Alex, Lynn, Edel. Though if I listen to this trio whereas CW a trio also apart Tara then funny I picture this in a way by the sound.

Edel is like the Mairead C of Caranua.
Alex is so like the Susan for Caranua.
Lynn is the middle on her own like Lisa K defiant this time around.
Sure Lynn or Alex can't be compared to Eabha. Lynn may be but not only for Eabha's alto voice.

I could sit & listen to Eabha"s voice all day!!!!! I was excited to find out she sang in Gaelic and when I heard her for the first time, also thought she was a PERFECT fit for Celtic Woman!!!! Can't wait to see her perform live again!!!
