My Fellow Forumites,

Although the weather up here in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom has been warmer than usual (a few sugarhouses I know have already boiled down sap from an early run into delicious maple syrup), it’s still quite chilly and we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground.  So, there’s a Christmas feel (slight though it may be) in the air.  (Of course, if cold temperatures and snow on the ground make one feel Christmassy, you’ll often feel it up here well into May.)  Nevertheless, considering the Destiny North American Tour doesn’t start for a few days, and my first concert of the Tour won’t be until April 9th in Baltimore, it feels a tad weird to be reporting on the 2016 Christmas Symphony Tour.  In any event, here goes.

This morning I received an email from the Colorado Symphony, circulating its 2016/17 Season Brochure.  One of the things I look for in the brochure when it comes is whether Celtic Woman will be there during the Christmas season because I saw outstanding Christmas Symphony Tour Concerts there in 2011 and 2014.  Moreover, the 2011 Concert was Lisa Kelly’s last with Celtic Woman and the 2014 Concert was the last time I saw Lisa Lambe with Celtic Woman, so both were very special experiences for me.  In any event, the 2016/17 Season Brochure includes a Celtic Woman Christmas Symphony Tour Concert for Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 7:30 pm MST.  No need to rush on this because tickets don’t go on sale until August 1st, but it’s comforting to know that there will be a Christmas Symphony Tour this year.

I hope to see some of you during the upcoming Destiny North American Tour, and again during the 2016 Christmas Symphony Tour.

It appears that it truly is "Christmas In July".  Today, I received an email from the New Jersey State Theater announcing that there will be there will be two (2) Home for Christmas Symphony Concerts at the State Theater, in New Brunswick, NJ, this year - on Tuesday, December 6th, and Wednesday, December 7th; both will be held at 8:00 pm EST.  Ticketmaster also has these concerts listed.  Tickets for both concerts go on sale this Friday, July 22nd.  Word to the wise, if past ticket sales for Celtic Woman concerts at the State Theater are any barometer, you'll get better tickets direct from the State Theater than from Ticketmaster.

I hate to keep our ladies in the cold, but I think I'm going to try the stage door tactic. I really want a chance to meet them, even if I'm so excited I can barely speak and just end up thanking them over and over and telling them they're amazing repeatedly. Heh, wouldn't be the first M&G this year when that's happened to me.  ::)

Eabha hinted there would be some new arrangements this HfC tour.  ;)

Straight back at it.. 13 hours of flying time get learning some symphony songs!
It's been an incredible few weeks seeing Thailand and having a wonderful adventure with my love.. but I'm so looking forward to getting back home and back to work with the Celtic Woman Tour and all my Celtic Woman pals.

So for a StageAndGreet, where do you normally stand. Not next to the stage door but within sight of it (ie. Not creepily close but closer to the door than the door is to the bus)? Lol.
