Title: St Petersburg FL Post by: dbbii on May 02, 2016, 11:33AM For those of you who may not have seen the Facebook/YouTube video, Amazing Grace was kind of interesting.
I've been to shows in the past where the configuration of the venue did not lend itself to Anthony marching down the aisle and on to the stage. He simply came out from the wings and stayed on stage. St Pete is one of those venues. As the previous song was finishing, my daughter nudged me and pointed to one of the boxes on the side of the stage. Anthony was there and played the first two "verses" of Amazing Grace from there. Overall the show was it's usual fine performance. One thing I noticed is Ray (during his solo), Anthony and Eoghen are all trying to 'fire up the crowd". They wave their arms trying to get people to stand up. Doesn't always seem to work. Sure, eveyone stood up at the end (TAR), but that's about it. |
