Christmas Symphony Tour was WONderful!!

« on: December 01, 2009, 11:12AM »

Since she said she'd like to eventually do a Christian album, I'd love to hear her sing "On My Knees" by Jaci Velasquez.  I think she'd have an amazing voice for this song.

I would love to hear her sing "Nearer My God to Thee" or "Abide With Me".

I think another good one would be some of the duets from musicals such as Chess and Miss Saigon.  She could do them with Lisa.  I think that would be amazing!

Yes, Yes, Yes, I hope she covers it on her album....or her C D she will surely record soon...  Go to the Song
Dedication thread to hear Carrie Underwood singing it...then Imagine OUR ALex singing it with her passion and expressions !!.

I think she would be really good at "The Warrior is a Child" by Twila Paris. I love that song! Smiley

"Jesus Will Still Be There" by Point of Grace would be awesome, and "Here I Am to Worship" would be awesome too!!!  And she did such an amazing job singing "Amazing Grace" with Celtic Woman.  I think she would do amazing singing it as a solo as well (Hayley's was awesome so Alex's would be too).  Smiley  Oh yeah and Faryl Smith's version of "How Can I Keep from Singing" would sound so beautiful!!!

I'd love to see Alex do something like "Great is Your Glory" or maybe some hymns. She's superb on CW's version of "Amazing Grace" but I think solo she'd do wonderfully. "It is Well With My Soul" would also be wonderful for her to do.

In case anybody is wondering, here's what "Great is Your Glory" sounds like:

Alex Sharpe has taught me so much as a performer

« Reply #10 on: January 05, 2010, 08:18PM »

Well, I think someone might have brought up this topic before, but just in case, I'll bring it up again! Cheesy

So, I think a good social conversation would be, what good songs would be for Alex to sing? She has a wonderful voice and can pull anything off!

I think maybe "I dreamed a dream" but it's not all that up lifting like most of theirs songs. I mainly like the chorus. But just imagine, Alex and her wonderful voice, she could really put that off!

Any other songs? (i know there lots more, but my brain is dead!)
