Yes, Saint Patrick's Day in Irish is Lá Fhéile Pádraig

Patrick is: Pádraig pronounced PAW-RIG. The D is silent.

There are many people including some from Ireland, who are less than respectful to our Patron Saint.

In my opinion and that of most respectful people, there is no excuse for calling him "Paddy".

....and "St. Patty" (you only see that in the USA) really makes my blood boil!  Angry

Yes Adelaide, there is something you can do for me.

Get all the education you can....never stop learning.
(I'm old enough to be your granny, and I've never stopped learning!)
Honour God, your parents and your Country.
Make sure you keep a sense of fun and joy in your life.
Be a lady of ethics and integrity.

My Dad explained it to me this way:
ETHICS means knowing the right thing to do, and doing it.
INTEGRITY means doing the right thing, even if nobody's watching and will ever know.

As I promised- I'll do my best. I'll always remember this lesson.

I'm sure you're one of the best grannies ever:)

These two photos are awesome!

I understand, Adelaide....in fact I thought it would be cancelled.

Maybe you can have the party at a later date, or just keep all the decorations until Saint Patrick's Day next year.

Please know I am shocked and deeply saddened by what happened to your Country.

I am praying for you.

Poland will recover, despite the grief and sadness, because of the spirit and resilience of the Polish People.

Thank you, Maggie. It is still a great shock for us. Even now it seems to me to be a strange nightmare. Things like should not happen.
Although I know many people who are crying and claiming that Poland's going to die, I feel the same as you. We're a very experienced nation and those all bad events and tragedies made us strong.
And this time there's a lot of people all other the world who show us their support and love. I'd like you to know that we, Polish People, really appreciate that. It's the first time that so many people want to get to know what happend in Katy? about 70 years ago. It really counts.
