On Canadian News tonight it said that the British troops are finally leaving Northern Ireland ......... May the peace there stay for many years to come!

OK enough of the politics and stick to the subject.
No matter what your point-of-view, this is a significant milestone for Peace in Northern Ireland.
Thank God, they have had nothing to do for the past few months anyway.
Those were British Troops, on British territory.
Whether it should have been British territory is a matter of opinion.
Whether it remains British is entirely up to the people who live there, they do not need outside interference.

Hey now, I know the war in Iraq is a hot button issue, but lets not be rude everyone (and for the record I agree RMNP_Hiker).
But anyway, congrats to Northern Ireland, and I hope that peace there lasts long as well.
