Uploading these videos has to be copyright infringement and a violation of law. Posting links to view them here is facilitating it.
The forum admin recently chided a user for pointing out various continuation errors in the Slane DVD as being close to disrespectful of the CW team. I can't see how posting links to viewed pirated videos is not at least as, if not more, disrespectful of the CW team.
This should not be allowed in this forum. That is all.
As I've already explained elsewhere on this forum, those videos were not recorded or uploaded by our members. We merely hotlinked to them. YouTube not only allows hotlinking, they encourage it, because they are advertiser supported and hotlinks increase their hit count and revenue. EMI has a license agreement with YouTube, so it's doubtful that those videos are actually violating any copyright.
Last fall, YouTube removed nearly 30,000 videos after being contacted by a number of Japanese rights-holders, according to the Japan Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC). YouTube is legally bound to police their content for illegal posts. So far, the attitude in the rest of the Internet community is that the content is YouTube's responsibility. If, by some chance, the video is removed, the link on our forum will simply stop working.
Regarding my "chiding" another member over "continuity" (not "continuation") errors - yes, I had a serious problem with that person's use of the term "cheating". The member has since kindly edited that post.
